Tips for your Six Sam Deck: Play Gearfried because he can protect your combo against hts. Also He is pretty good going second because he can clear opponents monsters pretty well and you can just go into isolde, mill for cost and then bait a negation out with isolde... Then go into Fried and kill another negation or even equip him with another monster of your opponent.
Another card I play is exchange because it is just the best Handtrapprotection that is possible. Most your combos are two or three card combos, where you need another card to discard. So you summon your three six sams for the combo and then you exchange your last handcard against a handtrap of your opponent before you activate your relevant effect.
Also I would recomment playing three of Mizuho and Shinai because they are responsible for the infinite counter loop. Sure you could search for them but there are situations when you miss one of them because your Counters are not enough to search them.
I wouldnt play pot of avarice because it is a brick if you do not open combo, so it does not contribute to anything. Either you have combo and get to gateway which basically is infinite resources. Why would you need avarice then? Otherwise you dont have combo. Then avarice cant be activated and its basically another brick that could be a starter.
I personally play as equips for isolde infernoble weapons durendal, i think, which can search fire flint lady or mizuho. Also it gets itself in the gy in the process, where you can banish it then for Fried if you open it. If not than you can just use durendal for isolde.
PS: Also I got the feeling that you dont really know about the infinite counter loop. So I am gonna explain it for short.
You need two Shinai and one Mizuho in field, one gate and one card that can hold counters.
Then you use Mizuho to tribute Shinai and target mizuho itself.
Then shinai triggers in gy so you can add Mizuho back and ss her then. Afterwards you can add Shinai and ss him to. then you would have two counters more than before. This loop is infinite so you get to declare a number of times you would perform that and then you get that amount of counters.
That is basically infinite counters so ypu have infinite resources. Basically thats game then.
I've been playing Six Sams for as long as I could remember. Their structure deck was the first deck I bought when I came back to Yugioh and I never looked back. Six Samurais forever!

I played legendary six samurai right when they came out. At that time there were no real other combo decks and my opponents always used to tell me that i can only normal summon once haha. It was literally full board t1 100%

Awesome decklist!!. I'm an all-time six sam fan, but stop playing the deck because of it being a combo format but since drayton and virtual world became meta the game has slowed down which has allow six Sam's to be more playable, so long story short I LOVE your deck profile you definitely made me a believer in playing my favorite deck again specially with playing smart/cool tech cards like instant fusion and called by the grave. I just built my six Sam's with the layout of your build and I went 2-0 tonight.. man I'm super pumped for continue to play test this new build.... thank you so much for the content. 😁🙌🏽

Thinking about a Deck without a Trap Card is super strange to me atm.
Can you tell me why you choose to do that and should i add some if I feel good with them?

The six Sam deck is very fast and focused on the extra deck. They aim to make a strong combo to get their cards, rather than worry about battle traps. Their endboards tend to have really big monsters (the weakest I end on is 2500), and they have to play through interruptions to stop your opponent from making big monsters. So a trap isn’t useful to a deck where the opponent won’t attack.

Why only 2 Six Samurai United though? That’s a card that you would want to always open with.
That’s true my dad always played six samurai and when some of the cards got limited he was sad because the combos wouldn’t work as good and as quick
Gateway at 3 but once per turn, that would be a change. Maybe it isn't better then before, but it would be more consistent.

I think we could even see Gateway at 3 and it would not be a problem, their are so many outs to Combo Decks

You should ad 1x Kagemusha of the six samurai its a level 2 tuner. So you can go into your synchro with your level 3 six samurais.
No you shouldn’t. Gateway can infinitely revive your squire and your level fours are the easiest monsters to summon in your deck. Kagemusha is the worse tuner of all the six Sam tuners. You can’t search it with kizaru, unlike genba. It can’t be used as an ascetism target, unlike fuma. And it can’t be infinitely revived, like squire.

I hope they remake Legendary Secret Of The Six Samurai into either a assault mode version of Shi En or a new Legendary Six Samurai Synchro monster whose name includes Shien so we can use the final effect of Gateway of the Six.

I, as well as many other players, wouldn’t play this variant. One kizaru and one kageki in opening hand is your infinite loop, so playing only one copy of kizaru is a sub optimal play. Otherwise you rely on your extenders to make your combo, instead of using them to play past handtraps
Love six sams. This deck can do anything guys trust me. You can FTK, and you can make the opponent literally not play Yu-Gi-Oh with a special combo. You can also put up a full board of negates, guys the possibilities are endless.
Downside to the deck is it needs better support in 2021. Also the deck lose to hand traps and it can't go second, hence it needs better support to adopt to the meta.

Samurais are one of the cooles Warriortype decks but sadly the only know "meta-ish" builds are based around infinite counter and some sort of ftk/locks
Yeah, when did Konami ever say the modern builds were control based? They gave the deck a link to search gateway, giving it the consistency the deck needed. How is this sad, it’s amazing how strong the deck is. Literally every profile uses the infinite counter loop as intended and spamming a million synchros are still a viable six Sam deck (11 interruptions, 3 of which are floodgates. No ftk required)

I've always felt that six sam's were good but now they can't stand up to a small girl with tiny feet. It's a she that one good ash or nimberu can completely stop this deck but that's the way it goes normally

The Secret Six Samurai kinda reminds me of the Gotei 13 second division stealth force unit and yes I made a reference to the anime Bleach glad it's coming back
I'm a returning player after more than a decade of not playing... I gotta ask, why no traps? Has the 2:1:1 ratio changed?
Deck is too fast for traps. They aim to make a strong going first hand and ride the momentum from that. That usually means making your board, and if your opponent can’t break it, you otk them next turn. You don’t need traps in that variant because all your interruptions are in the extra deck. Adding traps just reduces your consistency of getting a stronger board. With traps, you’re more likely ending with 1-2 interruptions than 11 interruptions
There is an alternative build of SixSam using the Gameciel and the Kaiju field spell ... Ur deck is very good, but U might wanna check that build becuase its another way to, Literally, not let Ur opponent play
This build is also pretty poor on getting to the combo, one kizaru is pretty poor in any six Sam build as kizaru kageki is the infinite loop and only two card guaranteed infinite loop. All the others rely on extenders

Yes that’s why the deck isn’t meta. It’s core is too tight to play other cards, so it’s going second ability is weak. Why do you think you never see this deck anywhere?

Yes, you can drop it in as a 3 of in the deck. It's easy to summon and negate spells with it.
Why would you want to, though lvl 7 negates all spells so would stop this deck dead?

Firstly, it’s clogging up your hand when you draw it. It doesn’t help you get to the infinite combo, and isn’t a good extender because it tributes a warrior monster. Your synchro already negates spell and traps and shogun limits how many your opponent can’t activate. This build is sub optimal as is, why throw in an even worse card
Ah, I remember this deck from back in the day.... My room mate played this deck and boy oh boy did I hate their synchro. Just casually negate someone once per turn... Urgh. Looks like that element of the deck hasn't changed.
Other than Gateway, what are the key cards to negate or destroy when playing AGAINST this deck? Or is Gateway the only one you specifically need to care about?
There is a continuous trap card that allows people to play only one attribute on their field, since they are all different attributes. Also, I do think the card illustration is actually two six samurais fighting each other
If you play the proper variant, there’s:
Normal summon kageki
Isolde summon
Battle shogun search
Skull dread draws and special summons
Mizuho pops
Shinai adds
Hatsume summon from Gy
Kizaru searches
And dojo summons for tuners. Some builds even run halq using fuma summoned off of Saryuja to summon squire from deck, so add halq onto that list.

christ, I tried this deck in edopro just to fuck about and I ended first turn with:
2 saryujas
1 apollousa
1 isolde (becuase I fucked up lol should have been great general)
and one shogun shien
oh and only 20 cards left in the deck lol. All that was without touching world legacy succession, avarice, D.D, instant fuse or living fossil.
Now I only wish I was compitent in this game so I could tailor this to do even more.
It’s not your fault, don’t worry. This deck is poorly made for a six Sam deck. If you see anything less than three united and three dojo, you know something is off. Don’t use this build

I really wish Konami would bring Gateway of the Six back to 3x because it's at 3x in the OCG, and the deck isn't doing anything over there in Japan and the European countries. Let's go Konami, give us back Gateway of the Six to 3x!!!

Can someone explain to me the basics combos?
I don’t know this variant but the standard combo is:
One kageki, one kizaru
- normal summon kageki, activate its effect to special kizaru
-Kizaru effect when special summoned, search legendary secret of the six samurai
-link into isolde and use isolde effect to add a kageki from deck to hand.
- use Isolde’s second effect to send three equip spells from your deck to your GY to special summon hatsume from your deck. Legendary secret activates in hand to summon itself.
-link into battle shogun using legendary secret and isolde. Use battle shogun effect, discarding the kageki you searched to add gateway from deck to hand.
- activate gateway, then activate hatsume, banishing two kagekis from your GY to summon kizaru to a zone battle shogun points to.
- Kizaru effect on summon to search a mizuho from the deck. Link into another battle shogun using hatsume and kizaru.
- use gateway effect to search for a kizan, then special kizan from hand to zone shogun points to. Activate gateway again and search and summon another kizan.
- overlay kizans into dugares in a zone battle shogun does not point to. Use dugares effect to summon back kizaru from Gy to a zone battle shogun points to.
- use kizaru effect on summon to search a shinai from deck then add another shinai or mizuho from deck to hand (I do shinai) using gateway effect.
- link summon into Saryuja using everything except the battle shogun in the extra monster zone. Use Saryuja effect to summon mizuho or shinai.
- because you control a mizuho or shinai, you can summon shinai or mizuho respectively from hand. Summon all your mizuho and shinai from hand.
- activate mizuho tributing shinai to destroy itself. Shinai adds back mizuho when tributes and you can use gateway to add Shinai from GY. Special summon both of them back to the field.
- repeat last step until you have sufficient amount of counters on gateway (400 is my number of choice).
Once you have your infinite combo, you can do a lot. Add all six samurai monsters from your deck to your hand and use Saryuja skull dread to draw a lot of cards, that can get you basically any card in your deck. You can use it for FTKs or to make a giant board full of interruptions. My build ends on appolousa in extra zone, borreload savage, crystal wing, cyberse quantum, Shi en, and slifer with anti spell fragrance set and called by the grave set. I should have two cards left in deck, one a shinai and one a mizuho.

Useless if you don’t go first. Against any deck. That’s what the deck does. It’s a “win the die roll or scoop”, with handtraps and bricking being the only thing that can save you.

You don’t need any. This deck will barely get its combo off to begin with. And regular six Sam decks draw their dojos and can put squire back in the deck with Saryuja if they draw it. And if you’re honestly complaining about halq, you shouldn’t be praising a six Sam deck. They are the most degenerate deck to ever exist
