Thanks to your videos the information on DDs enabled me to get my Nelson 48/50 twin 8v71n engines running so well , just completed a 10 hour run from Labuan to Lawas in malaysia , many thanks 👍10 knots at 1100 revs
Jimmy is just about zero smoke, so nothing gets on the boat.:) With the Fuel Modulator set to California specs and burning veg oil, there's no visible smoke.:) Just a puff when it starts.:) So far no stains.:)
@@detroitgarage9430 Right on. No disrespect intended towards Jimmy or your excellent tuning efforts of course - I drive mostly common rail Cummins, but non DPF 5.9L era. None of my rigs smoke but there is still non visible soot particles in the exhaust - hence the staining over long highway runs. Nothing crazy but on a white boat and with a 2 stroke Jimmy I imagined it might be more readily apparent :-)
@@TyrantOfHellsLand True, I guess on longer trips it might, but I only tow short trips, max an hour or so.:) The only other trailer I have is a black one and I can't tell from that.:) I think the veg and the methanol injection is the key.:) I'll keep an eye out on the bumper and see if anything accumulates.:)
@@TyrantOfHellsLand P.S. Forgot to mention that burning Biodiesel and veg reduces carbon soot emissions by up to 80%.:) One of the huge factors for less soot.:) I'd love to do a tailpipe analysis of the emission on Jimmy running Veg or Biodiesel.:)
I'm running a 14 X 17" three bladed prop on this one now and it's a nice prop. I do have two other props that came with the boat, but haven't tried them to see. I use the boat for cruising and will soon try tubing as well. For cruising it's great, but I'll soon see if the prop is ok for tubing and skiing. I have a 13-3/4 X 15" and that might be better for tubing and skiing. What prop are you running now?
@@detroitgarage9430 I hit a rock couple of weeks ago and I had to change the lower part of engine and the propeller was also damaged and I don't remember what size was it.
It’s nice when something stays fixed and is dependable!!! Looks like a great summer is in store!! Thanks!!
Very true, I think she's a keeper.:) Thanks for watching.:)

You're welcome, that's great news.:) I'm glad the videos helped and thanks for watching.:)
any Jimmy stains on the boatsides while towing? I had to switch from side exit exhaust to over axle dump to lessen soot getting on my trailers

Hello Sir,
I have a question. I have the same boat and I need to know what is the best propeller for it? What's your recommendation?
