Played Armello again for the first time In over a year, and got a multiplayer victory with Elyssia by following these tips. I was waaaay ahead in the lead in terms of Prestige, but I also collected 4 Spirit Stones, so I decided to just purify the king. Saved a card to give me another action point after finally managing to get inside the palace.
For fresh players, Amber is one of the best choices. Like what Pinstar said the gold start is keen, followed by her flexibility in stats, her ability is also great for working on gold/treasures/and spirit stones.
Amber's ability, despite what it looks like on the surface, isn't very useful. You might want to try Elyssia instead, as she's practically the same but with a better power. Thane and Sylas are also very straight forward characters for new people learning the game.
I'll agree with Thane being very new player accessable. He has a decent starting gold total and teaches the importance of burning cards in combat. I would steer newbies away from Sylas. 2 starting gold is extremely tricky to work from and despite good stats and a great ability, you are extremely vulnerable until you can afford proper equipment. Even with it, you need to be smart about your movments and health total so you don't get snipe-farmed for bounties. Not a good first pick for a new player, especially in multiplayer.
In multiplayer Sylas gets hammered hard and fast, most people know to capitalize on his bounty farming. Going out of their way to use sharpshooters, long-range spells and perils. Once that bounty is gone, back to square one. Also, ya need to be mindful of guards, once gone the only reliable way to get a bounty is to solve/fail for P.
Some good tips here, my friends and me have a lot of games under out collective belts and have found a lot of different ways to attack, defend, and win the game. Any game with multiple paths to victory is worth trying.
I had the most luckiest match online with river...had 15 prestige king was on 1 hp...fang was in palace with op rot and gear...I could either draw 2 magic cards to try and damage fang or draw 2 trickery cards and have around about a 1 in 47 chance of getting strategist...me thinking nobody had played strategist this whole game I tryed my luck at drawing trickery and who knows...I got strategist...I ran into the palace used strategist and shot the king with my arrow...probably the most closest call ive had to losing vs winning...and great vid btw lol....also on phone aswell so kinda sad we not getting dragon clan

Rot: Misses unless you are corrupted in which case they become attacks that also explode. Sword: Attacks Shield: Defends As you can see, it is less likely for anyone to roll defends in combat, making defensive items a definite priority. Explode Pool is how many times your dice can explode in battle or in perils. It is usually equal to your spirit unless you are corrupted and then it becomes equal to your rot.
what does 'explode' mean? I get that it counts as an attack and gives a bonus roll, but what about the explosion? Does it add some damage or it just means that the dice vanishes? (but a new one to roll is granted?)
One tip I want help with is rot ... I play on phone and switch... And rot took me over a week trying to get 1 game in... I think do to bad quest luck 80% chance.... Still miss... But with rot.... It feels like your in a race not vrs the players ..... I ussaly can fight them well but the king... Any tips
Dragon Clan aside, you either want 0 rot, or you want to be the most rotted player in the game. Anything in between weakens you. Try to stay at 0 rot, but if you find a chance to gain 3+ rot in a turn, then change your strategy and go for all the rot. I call it a 'rot pivot' and it can be effective at minimizing the downsides.
Pick "ruin" amulet and burn villages, then start farming banes after 5+ rot, and pick spells (they have a higher chance to increase your rot than other cards).
Good tips, exspecialy for me "If you burn those cards, then no problem" are there movement speed boosts to some characters if they spend money on game/dlcs? Feel like one player today online moved on first row like 4-5 tiles

Yeah so long as the party leader has all the DLCs, said characters are available for everyone. However, the amulets and rings required from said DLCs will vary, like the Listener amulet that requires the Bandit clan DLC will not be available to anyone that doesn't have it.
every game i play goes to prestige. I always win but this is the most boring possible outcome possible. How do i manage my time properly so i actually get to fight the king before he dies of rot on his own?
you don't need to complete all your quests every game. While yes, ideally you would have the time to finish them all ever game, its not always going to work out like that. Playing heroes that naturally have high wits and/or spirit can give you a better chance to breach the palace perils and give you a chance to get another victory. About a week ago, I managed to get a Spirit Stone win as Sargon despite only getting one of my quests done. Admittedly I got VERY lucky with the Spirit Stone Spawns, but if I was playing someone like Magna it wouldn't have mattered since she doesn't have the dice to solve the palace's perils. Its also worth knowing that the palace perils have little flags with either a wits symbol or a spirit symbol. If you the palace tile with the wits flag it will use your wits as your base die poll while the spirit flag will use your spirit as your base die pool. The palace's wits perils will always contain a Wyld, Sword, Shield, and Rot symbol while spirit requires Wyld, Sun, Moon, and Rot instead. When planning a breach try to burn any non-rot duplicates so you may draw more cards and possibly get a full set. The only reason I say its okay to have duplicates of Rot symbols is because the 'Cursed Lands' spell (+1 to peril difficulty) always adds additional rot symbols.

I was just thinking the same thing. I thought this would be a good video for newbies, since that was in the title. But he talks about game mechanics that a newbie is unfamiliar with. This was a teeny bit of help, but not much.
I found it pretty helpful as someone who picked up the game a few days ago. I know the basics and mechanics but nothing about strategy and how to plan turns or win or deal with some of the complicated things and it was very helpful for me

Yea Amber is so good honestly I think there may need to be a nerf coming, and I say that with Amber being my Main.
If rabbit clan, Hargrave is always my pick. Put sprint amulet on, give him the plains ring for that sweet +2 shield.
