  • In this video, I filmed the process of creating and welding a Mother and Daughter permanent bracelet, using the Orion Micro Welder mPulse. You can substitute the chain and connect (with other connectors or two different sizes of beads or findings). You can also make one with a clasp, as I have done for mine, while my daughter's is permanently welded closed.
    Note: You don't need to have the welder in order to create this bracelet or use this idea. You can use slightly thicker jump rings (gold filled are harder than sterling silver) and just close it.
    Let me know what you think of this bracelet.
    Here are the components I've used (with online product code):Small Double Loops connector - gold filled (FH98G)1.5x3mm Paper Clip chain - gold filled (CE00G)3mm 24ga jump ring - gold filled (FJ12G)
    Full disclosure

    Do you wear protective glasses while doing welding?

    • @stonesandfindings

      I do not because I wear corrective glasses. The flash is very bright, as with any welding. The welder comes with a darkened screen. For filming, I don't have that on (I've trained myself to close my eyes when I hear the click that goes off before the spark happens. I would suggest you wear sunglasses (protective ones are better).

    Please bring in wire wrapped chains with semi precious stones

      I can do that, but the gold out there is all gold plated silver or over base metal. That was the only reason I decided not to :( they turn too quickly

    Do you sell the stones like your daughter has here? Birthstones?

    • @stonesandfindings
      @stonesandfindings  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes - we wholesale them, and many others. Although you do not need a business license, you have to create an account to see the wholesale prices. Also, there's a $15 handling fee that will disappear once you reach the minimum purchase of $150.

    Hi there! Do you have a link to what pliers to use for such small jump chains?

    • @stonesandfindings

      Hi Tori,
      Here are really great pliers made in the USA, available at PePe Tools. They have other sizes, too. You want to make sure which ever pliers you end up buying that they have springs in them, otherwise you will end up with wrist pain with continued use.

    What size jump ring are you using?

      I am using 3mm 24 ga in that. If you're connecting thicker connectors, you may have to increase to 4mm. I carry a 4mm 22 ga that works very well for slightly larger chains - it works for fine chains as well. It's a matter of aesthetics.
