32 years since I heard that song in Kindergarten. This is the first time I've heard the song since then. And yet I remembered it off and on as if I heard it just yesterday.
I sang this when I was in Kindergarten. When I taught Kindergarten, I taught it to my students. Just last week, when my son graduated from Kindergarten, he sang this song. I always tear up when I listen to it.
im tearing up bro, I remember walking into pre-k and listening to this as soon as I entered the classroom 🥺 those were the days, I’ll cherish those moments forever.
YOOOOOOOO!!!!! I have walked around for years singing this song in my head. Kindergarten was everything when my music teacher played this vinal! Thank you for bringing back memories where life had no worries!
Mrs.Willis was my first grade teacher she is forever dear to my heart. She played this song every day before starting our school day. This brought me to tears thinking about the good memories of being a 7 yr old.
What a timeless classic! It was one of my favorite songs in Kindergarten (year 1987). Very positive and inspirational... Now in 2018, my son is learning this in his Kinder class, as well as many other Greg & Steve songs I learned and loved 31 years ago... so nice to hear him sing songs like Good Morning, ABC Rock, World is a Rainbow 😍
We sang this every day when I was in first, second, and third grades, and I sang it with my students when I taught those grades! I now teach college and want to sing it with them, too! LOL!
Wow!! I am 46 years old and I still remember this song from kindergarten! I'm smiling to myself in my car. Out of the blue I was singing the chorus to myself and decided to Google it. This song is sooo needed and taught me to love not just somebody but everybody 🥰🥰
This song was released in............. 1978! It's still works and is used in 99.9% of ALL Pre K. & Kinder. classrooms!! Thank You Greg & Steve for your music. I hope they'll be it playing for 38 more years!!!
the whole world needs to listen to this song..such a great message. the world needs to get over itself and realize, everyone is different and that's ok! with all this violence, I think the whole world should remember what we learned in kindergarten, to share, love, and be kind to each other.
I remember singing this song in kindergarten, now, ever since I began 2nd grade, I’ve seen the truth about the world through horrible experiences I’ve encountered. Now I’m in college, this song makes me cry
Okay I just got home from work and I got 🎉 from school today and I’m going on the treadmill for the first 😊 and then I’m just trying to get my work 🎉 done and Lala la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la La La La La La LaLala la la la la la la la la la la la
Kindergartners *still* sing this song at the end of their winter class play at my local elementary school, Tierra Linda! I did so myself in December of 2002. 😊
Kindergarten vibes. This song has been stuck in my head since then and periodically it pops in my mind as a way to soothe the soul. I didnt realize then how great things were. Glad to hear this!
I learned and performed this song in my 6th grade class as a student, which was in 1994 -1995. I was singing it to my 6 year old daughter about 3 weeks ago and she fell in love with it. It is now her bedtime song. Best of all, she sings it along with me. Matter of fact, she literally just fell asleep while listening to it. Such a beautiful song.
😢😢 My condolences. This song is one of the most beautiful songs, which brings a lot of memories. I performed this song when I was in 6th grade in 1993 - 94 in front of my parents as well. I started singing this song to my 6 years old daughter about 2 weeks ago and she fell in love with it. It now becomes her bedtime song. Matter of fact, she is singing it now as I try to put her to sleep. It brings back a lot of memories.
@@alan33308 thank you!! Funny thing this past week has been hard for me because I've been missing my dad so much but seeing this comment made my day! I love how things from our childhood is passed to our children. She's going to cherish those memories forever God knows I do with my dad.
@shaunicenicolee I can only imagine the pain of losing someone that was so close to you. A father/daughter bond can get so deep that it makes it so hard to live without one another. My 6 year old daughter showers me with hugs and kisses all the time and tell me that she loves me constantly. I can only imagine how much it would affect her if one day God calls me home. I pray that God gives you the necessary strength to deal with your loss.
I feel dumb for being the 4yo kid (2000), who thought this song was about a literal rainbow!🌈 The teachers taught the dance by slowly waving our hands left and right over ours heads, like a rainbow arch. So I had no clue.😑 Nobody explained it to me until 18yo me remembered the song one day, and remembered the “yellow, black, and white, and brown” lyrics, and realizing it! I am 25 now. I will never forget this song!
I don't know what brought me here. This song just happened to pop in and stuck in my head at an awkward moment of seeking nursery songs for my child. I figured I can find out who sung this and pass it down to them. 70's 80's brought it all back for me. LOL!!
When I was in kindergarden, we sang this all the time, and the teacher would have me say "stir all those people up" every time we sang it between, just look what happens when you stir it up! Aw sweet childhood memories.
Beautiful song by itself, but I heard it for the first time today at my granddaughters pre-k step up ceremony. It sounds even better hearing a bunch of kids singing it. I love when KIDS are actually KIDS doing and/or singing age appropriate things.
Listened to this at my baby sister's kindergarten graduation. As a college student i was holding back tears, eating a wall fr. I will never forget how life used to look through our little eyes.🥲
I sang this song in kinder and was going through my likes videos and found this and when I was smaller after the performance I refused to go to sleep until I listened to the song 15 times before going to bed and I am ten now looking back brings memories from 5 years ago makes my cry and wanna go back to 2013 the memories I had made my heart melt and I found it easier in kinder now I struggle in 4th grade and thinking about the song and memories help me a little more
This song used to make me cry when I was in Kindergarten @ Monte Vista Elementary in Highland Park, California and I'm 24 now and it still gives me the feels.
This was my 80’s elementary school years for me. I’ve not heard this one in a long time, and with it, a ton of memories came flooding back. I heard it at my little boy’s pre-k graduation ceremony today. The song’s probably from the 70s. Not too sure tho…. But damn, it hit me today!!
I remember listening to this song when I was in elementary school when I was 7 years old in 2014 I loved this song after 7 or 8 years I been wanting to listen to this song and when my 2nd grade teacher tells me to cross my arms and put my head down my 2nd grade teacher would play this song I really loved this song this song gives me nostalgic memories😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
*sighs* Sure. Around kindergarten. This song made me feel good. Makes you tearful because one grows up to see many adults never being like this. What room was there for this song once the bubble popped? What an ironic, Utopian song. For children... It's certainly joyful.
Wow we use to sing this in kindergarten back in 96. I haven't heard it since then and I still remembered more than half of the song..my memory is so clear, it scares me a little on this one lol
Throw back at 2008, my childhood for this song was a blast listening to this stuff when I was 6. Now I’m 15 and I’m trying to be emo listening to metal core, lol
