      Hi there! So glad you like the tutorial and that it's still helping people 6 years later! Mark sets the heat sealer he used in this video to just above 1, and he mentions that the one he uses at home is also set to just above 1, but each heat sealer will be a bit different, so you may need to experiement to find the perfect setting for yours. Hope that helps! 😁

    what's the dimension of the deco bubble balloon box? what's the suggested weight of deco inside a 24" bubble balloon to allow to float properly and how would you weight out the deco pieces?

    • @BalloonMarket
      @BalloonMarket  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The bubble box measures 53cm x 45cm x 39cm. You can find out more about them here: www.balloonmarket.co.uk/accessories/retail-accessories/balloon-boxes/bubble-box-10
      Mark suggests 10 grams of weight inside a 24" bubble, but have a play and see what's best for you.
      Any of our heavy weights should hold down the bubbles, for example pyramid weights: www.balloonmarket.co.uk/accessories/balloon-weights/pyramid-weights
      It is worth pointing out that you can over-inflate bubbles and they would then need more weight to hold them down, so again have a play around!

      Hi Nailah, maybe we can help but we have some questions.
      Are bubble balloons something you have done before and it’s just the one’s with feathers you are having problems with?
      How are you tying the bubble balloon, using the 160Q method? The most common problem we see with bubbles is the 160Q not being kept fully-stretched when tying.
      Are there any obvious holes in the balloon where the helium would be escaping?

      Hi Louis, I would tie a 160Q to the neck of the bubble as normal, then use the 160Q to wrap through and tie-off to the cup on the stick. You could trim off the excess afterwards to keep it neat and tidy.

    how can you get confetti stick all around the deco bubble like you would do with a 36" latex balloon with confetti?

    • @BalloonMarket
      @BalloonMarket  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Louis! Many people use static to hold the confetti to bubble, you would need to add some air into the bubble prior to helium filling, then rub the outside of the balloon to create static. This doesn't last for long however. Sue Bowler has permanent solution using Hi-Float. Hi! Is it possible to refresh a helium filled Bubble after some weeks when it goes down? Or isn´t it moist enough and will burst? And the second Question is, should I tie off the self-sealing Bubbles (e.g. Star Wars...) aditionally with a 160Q to increase float life? Thank you so much in advance!

    • @BalloonMarket
      @BalloonMarket  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Dominic.
      Yes it is possible. The official guideline from Qualatex is that the balloon needs to be moist to stretch, but I have just
      tried topping up the bubble with the red confetti Mark inflated in this show and it worked fine. I’m not sure if you would be able to rely on this method completely though!
      As for the self-sealing bubbles, you don’t need to use a 160Q to tie. I don’t think you’ll see any additional float life from doing
      that.
      Hope this helps!

    • @BalloonMarket
      @BalloonMarket  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The bubble balloon may be going down as helium is escaping. I would review your technique of tying just to make sure it is perfected. The room temperature may also be effecting the balloon - if you make the bubble up when it is very hot and then as the day goes on the weather cools, the balloon will shrink. I hope this helps!

      Hi Sarah. Powder on the inside of the bubbles? I'm not sure there is powder inside the bubbles. Are you sure it isn't the powder from the latex balloons (latex balloons are finished with powder to stop them sticking together)? I have just spoken to Mark about it anyway and he is going to talk to manufacturing to find out for sure if there is any powder at all used in the bubbles. He will respond on here later on. Greg :)

      Hi Greg
      Yes its really fine and its a slight coating in the bubbles. It happens with the feather bubbles i do to, but i shake the feathers around in the balloon and it rubs it off. I've seen others commenting on it in some of the balloon groups so i know its not just me haha :)

    With the heat sealing is it possible for the neck to break off or tear when attaching anything to it....or tying with the 160q?

    • @BalloonMarket
      @BalloonMarket  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Keisha. I'm guessing if you were to heat seal for too long it would weaken the pastic and it could more easily break. However, if you get the setting right, I would have thought it would be fine for attachments. You do need something like a 160Q to then attach it to anything else as the necks are too short to tie. As always, we would suggest you have a bit of a testing session with different settings / attachment techniques before committing to using a new technique all the time. Hope this helps. Greg :)

      Hi there! They are each manufactured by a different company. They are all stretchy plastic balloons but have different takes on that - for example the Aqua Balloons are softer than the Deco Bubbles and this is why it's easier to personalise the Deco Bubbles. Also if you want to put mini balloons in the bubble balloon can the mini balloons be filled by air and the actual bubble balloon be helium? Hi Mandy! Qualatex do recommend the modelling balloon method but if you have a heat sealer - you can heat seal the bubble balloons. If you are helium filling your bubble balloon you must helium fill the mini balloons - do not mix gases :). We have a video with Mark from Qualatex where he fills a 3ft balloon with some helium, some air - that can be viewed here - th-cam.com/video/GFb89nqwf9U/w-d-xo.html. I hope this helps!

      @BalloonMarket  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jessica
      We did a few tests to see how long they lasted. When just heat sealing, some stayed inflated as long as you would expect a Bubble to stay inflated, others did go down sooner which we think is due to us not getting the settings on the heat sealer right. If you’re interested with heat sealing the Bubbles, I would recommend doing float life tests at different settings as all heat sealers are different.
      The Bubbles that had the best float life were both heat-sealed and tied with 160Q, this is what Mark was talking about with 41 days float time.
      Hope this helps!

      Hi Terry. We have found that it really does need trial and error. It depends on how static you get the balloon which can depend on so many variables. We did find that the little plastic bags the frily weights come in are pretty good at creating static. But however static you might get the balloons, all it needs it a couple of people bumping into them and the confetti falls to the bottom. You could try the hi-float technique Sue Bowler demonstrated in her blog. The link is in the description. Hope this helps. Greg :)
