Amazing fishes, amazing techniques and a lot of learnings. their reeds are a bit different from the ones we use here, since the ones here are usually smaller, with the smaller cable. This bait "chop chopp" ("Hélice" in portuguese) is impressive when the tucunaré attacks. Nice work, nice catches, nice videos. Congrats and God bless you.

When i was a kid i used to see those advertisements in the back of Field and Stream magazines for Amazon Peacock Bass fishing for $1200. I bet it's not that cheap to go anymore but if i had the money i would go anyway in a heart beat. We are going to Florida in August and while the wife and kids are at the beach i am going to go fish canals and try to catch my first Peacock Bass. I have shit loads of big top water chopper style baits like the Devils Horse, Torpedos and some i have carved myself out of broom handles. I want to catch my first Peacock Bass on a lure i made myself. That would make it even more memorable and special.

Yeah, it's still fishing so nothing stays the same and we're all waiting to see your 20 #er. Last February we had super low water, there was a husband and wife team, he'd fluff the fish with a hookless top water spook, jumping minnow etc. and she'd nail em with a fly rod. My last trip in November when I was shot from chopping for hours, the guy in front would get blowups on the chopper and give up, I'd throw a bucktail and get the fish every time. Still nothing like the blowup on top.
