This was an amazing video, once again! An awesome subject, you brought up several great points, and showed some incredible emulators. I hadn't tried that version of DOSBox on my Galaxy yet, download it now!
YESSSSS YES YES YES THIS IS WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR!!!! I've been trying for ages to get Quest for Glory to run on a phone (first tried it with my pocket PC, very slow... but was sooo crazy about trying to play it "ON THE GO". There needs to be a DOS GAME revolution for the phones and tablets!
@HardWarUK This is a great point about the age of the current generation of consoles. Also I am in no way forgetting low end laptops or the millions of people that play on traditional Windows, Mac and Linux systems, low end or latest gen. This video is just about the new and "alien to the computers of 20 years ago" platforms that exist now as in pads and phones and also what can be attracting this generation of users of such devices to retro gaming.
awesome video, it's great how retro gaming is huge now and you can play on so meany devics and by people who wouldn't relay call them self's gamers or retro gamers.
Man these games are timeless, I missed a bunch of them when they originally came out and am only now beginning to work my way through the likes of The Dig and Gabe Knight thanks to scummvm and GOG- classics
Could you teach us how to use dosbox on an android device? it seems like it would be hard to set up and use, or is it designed to be easier for mobile devices?
I'd really really really appreciate if you'd start doing videos again. Let it be Adventure-Reviews (my favorite genre), other old-school games, or, just anything. Your reviews stand out of the mass of youtube-videos with quality. Several games I discovered or rediscovered (Wing Commander!) by your reviews. So would you start posting videos again? Pretty please? :-)
Hello, I was wondering if you had any interest in doing a video of "Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth" and/or "Amnesia: The Dark Descent." I very much enjoyed your video about Penumbra. Thank you.
I play more retro games, then todays games... and when i get bored with the new games like for xbox 360, I go back to my retro games, and systems like SNES and sega genesis.
AdventureReviews :P I'm into board games and card games but I also love adventure games. One day I'm browsing my sub channel list and check both of your channels almost back-to-back and I'm like "Wait a minute... Could it be?". ;)
watching this video has just made me realize that it looks like android is definitely here to stay with IOS, and you've kind of come to realize this now with developers and companies developing both IOS and android apps, with blackberry kinda being left out.
DUDE THIS IS AWESOME IVE BEEN LOOKING FOREVER ON HOW TO GET QUEST FOR GLORY SERIES ON THE PHONE OR IPAD OR TABLET PLEASE MESSAGE ME HOW TO DO THIS PLEASE PLEASS PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS
use an application called SCUMMVM... it is free.. just download it.. then copy the any of the Glory games (or any sierragame) onto the phone, then run ScummVM and follow the prompts of "add game" button.

well you've convinced me to get a "dospad" :)
i love your videos, and I love your voice, it reminds me of my uncle's voice.
Is Quest for Glory 4 runnable on only the better devices or is it possible to play them on more basic smartphones also?
Shadows of Darkness!! My favorite!
Great idea for a video!
Can you please make a list of the games shown in this video? Thanks.
This is why video games, or regular, plain, board games will never be left behind because of technology.
Nice has anything changed since this was done?

where'd u go, bro?
9 years later and the retro and idnie scene has just gotten bigger. to the point msot prefer older games and indies to AAA.
watching this on my HP touchpad. Retro gaming is very ni e on tablets.
Dude, your voice, paired with your use of vocabulary and sentence structure, is fucking beautiful.
Apple doesn't allow emulators on iOS, so you actually have to jailbreak to even be able to run ScummVM.
Do these things work on Android?
Another great video. Unfortunately I can,t

I can't get my iPad to run dosbox without jail breaking it which I fear. Shouldve gotten a galaxy.
Yay, Transformer.

+Hank What is this other channel you speak of?
Yeah. Please something else. You have amassed a loyal following. Come back.

Games directly to phones nornally are pretty crappy..the best ones are ports from pcs or console games.
