He's not made to do it. It's a show with much input from the Bachelor and Bachelorette. So production knows who the bachelor and bachelorette feel are the villains, the problem contestants, the crazies etc. and they zoom on those contestants to build the drama and conflict with help from the bachelor and bachelorette because drama and conflict sells. They must have it in order for the show to survive each season.
