    For those of us in America, the restoration of the 10 tribes is the key hopeful event to look forwards to prior to the Lord's coming.

    When I learned that the reorganized church took all the “and it came to pass” lines out of the BOM, I shot up a prayer and asked God why it felt so wrong that they would remove those phrases and what they actually meant, I got an interesting answer. The BOM is a temple walk through, like the old tabernacle and its three rooms. As people move from one phase of their journey through the temple and its ordinances in the BOM, it came to pass is like passing through one room to the next through a curtain or veil. The path works both ways, as you pull away from covenants it can take you back in your progress. So I look at what happens right before says it came to pass, and it’s always when they either progress or regress in their journey. It’s as if God is approving or disapproving of their progress.

    For those who are interested. The order to read Mike Rush's books are as follows: Delight in Plainness, Daniel, Remnant, Revelation and Enoch. Read them prayerfully and carefully and the Holy Ghost will light you up.

    Thank you for this interview! I really liked it! The process of becoming has been something I’ve been thinking about and working on. Megan, you said something about being under the law of mercy and extending mercy to others as being in a terrestrial state. Will you explain what you mean by that? I’d also appreciate any explanation or scripture that highlights that idea if you have it.

    This is what I don’t understand about personal revelation and intent. 1/2 my family used personal revelation and the discerning power of the Holy Ghost to move away from the LDS faith and become Jehovah’s Witnesses. This does not bother me as they are very happy and have been JW for 30 years now but I don’t understand the point of personal revelation if it can create a fork in the road.

      It depends which spirit they listened to. The adversary can sound quite convincing and many mistake his words as those of the Holy Ghost.

      @@FaveWasteOfTime the problem is they certainly don’t think that. I’m neutral so it doesn’t matter to me. I’m happy they found a path that provides comfort and happiness in their lives. It’s just surprising to me that both my LDS family and my JW family insist that the opposing faith “has been deceived by satan”. To me it’s not a productive mindset. My wife and I don’t take sides.

      My understanding is that personal revelation is for us to learn how to recognize how the spirit speaks to us. God gives us agency. He will never force us in any direction. He relies on us to understand how the spirit speaks to us and then use that understanding to interpret our thoughts and feelings and where they are coming from. Who they are being influenced by.

      @@shirley5762 I guess I’ve determined that if the Holy Ghost directed a portion of my LDS family to leave and become JW that’s fine. I’d never say that they mistook Satan for the Holy Ghost especially knowing what outstanding people they are. They are simply on a different path but that’s ok as it works for them. Who am I to judge.

    What if the temples were desecrated by polygamy?

    • @allmight9840
      @allmight9840 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, that was not a desecration. Look for the coming of this Antichrist for the abomination of desolation.

      The key to understanding this is to study Isaiah (start in 2nd Nephi), the book of Daniel, and finally revelations. That will help make this subject more clear.
