In todays vlog, we are celebrating our birthday on a solo trip in Cancun Mexico! This was my first time traveling solo internationally and I had a great time! This trip was focused on relaxing, resetting, and getting back to me. Life has been so busy but we have to always take care of ourselves. Self care is the best care!
The hotel Haven Riviera Cancun was so amazing! The food, service, rooms, and activities were 10/10! I would definitely go back! I met some new people, participated in activities and watched Mexican cabaret shows. Outside of that, the rest of the trip was focusing on me recharging. I did some yoga, meditated, and just sat still with myself. I feel so fulfilled!

This hotel has been on my radar for a while now, so glad you enjoyed your trip! and it was definitely the customs/airport workers in Cancun, I'm a flight attendant and word on the street is they steal! I've heard this about Cancun specifically so definitely be sure none of your valuable items are out of your sight next time.

Hey sis! I just happen to run across your channels. I was getting ready for the gym this morning and watched it while I was at the gym! Thanks for getting me through that lol.😂 I love to travel, mostly with my daughter and solo traveling is something I aspire to do. I want to do it so bad, but do you have some fear surrounding it but I know that it’s so healthy to do. As a therapist self-care is something I preach on a regular, and this is exactly what it looks like! Even if you’re married, both people need time to their selves as well as time together that is a healthy dynamic . I’m going to set a date and maybe try for that hotel. I will be honest the airport is very concerning. Did you happen to have one of those bags that have the TSA locks on it? Did they bypass the locks? These airports are so (beep) ridiculous they are always stealing, and there’s never any accountability! When I took my daughter to Disney World, ( flew DFW airport) why did we get there and her Disney gift cards that people had gifted her were gone and we didn’t even know it till I got to the register to try to buy some thing! Thieves at heart, it’s truly ridiculous! I’ve always been fearful about leaving my coach tags and things like that on the outside of my suitcase because of their theft, unless you can get it welded on. Just Glad I found you. You are definitely my vibe.❤
@@JourneywithTiffany yes, I think everyone will naturally be fearful to solo travel for their first time. Maybe try going somewhere domestic first to ease some of your fear in the beginning!
No I didn’t have the TSA locks at first but ever since then, I’ve been using those little locks on my suitcase and nothings happened since then!
I am married as well and take my solo trips!!! Having an understanding mate is very important.

I haven’t watched the video all the way through yet, but I saw a previous comment saying that the airport went through your bag like that and as someone who also travels very frequently airports do not move all your belongings inside your luggage around from different sides to side. They may look in your suitcase. They put things back where it came from. If something is missing out of your bag I would 90% blame the resort not the airport.. that’s my opinion and experience though 😊

This was Awesome, never went to Cancun yet but went to Puerto Vallerta. Sorry about your bag, look for some baggage locks, we always use them when we fly anywhere & have the key in our carryon. Hope the best for your future travels

I just love this Solo travel video. Every outfit was beautiful, green dress my favorite. I really really enjoyed this because I’m doing my solo trip to Cancun or Turks in 1 month. This vlog really inspired me to focus more on myself.

It was TSA that took your speaker if you checked your bag. You cannot have anything in your checked luggage that has a battery. You would need to put speakers, battery powered razors, etc... in your carryon.
Thanks for watching! I’ve always put the speaker in my checked luggage for all my international trips. They didn’t take my tripod camera so I thought it was odd. I’ll put it in my carry on moving forward!

This is definitely not true I always put a speaker in my checked bag and I’ve carried other things that take batteries, even some suitcases now take batteries to lock electronically

Is there transportation to cancun from tulum airport ?
Hey ! Yes, you can rent a private driver or you can ride the ADO bus from Cancun to Tulum! There’s a lot of ppl that talk about the ADO bus on TikTok!
Are you leaving your bags out and open? If so stop it. Put the do not disturb sign on the door.
No, my bags were like this on arrival day. I opened my bag 20 minutes after checking into my room and it was like that. I’m assuming it was the airport.

Can you recall how much the resort fee was at the point of check-in?
I paid for everything on Cheap Caribbean. I don’t remember paying anything at check in
Okay so they didn’t do a hold on your credit card at point of checkin like most hotels?
@@netanjearobinson8678 yes, they had a hold for incidentals. I can’t remember the amount. It was either a $300 or $500 hold on the credit card
