If the area is especially dirty she said to use Cetaphil plain facewash & do not get it inside, use it only on the outside.

If you have sex and are already doing so without condoms, use coconut oil as a lube when doing so. But dont use it with condoms. Vagisil wipes arent cure. Getting your body in check, is. Sometimes you need a script.

Dear women (young and old) please do not use any soaps in the vulva area, and most definitely not IN the vagina! Vaginas clean themselves, vulvas are to be cleaned with water and fingers. Using soaps (including vagisil) will only make any issues you have worse. If you have BV or are prone to BV, don’t use tampons as this can make the odor worse and the vagina can not breathe properly. If in doubt, see a doctor.
After starting using a menstrual cup, I talk about a menstrual cup with everyone! So talking about period, vaginal health and anything about the anatomy has been super easy.

My Nana is a nurse and for many years she worked primarily with gynecologists, and when my dad was a teenager, he would always hang out during the Lamaze classes, so talking about vaginal health was never a problem for me. I'm fortunate enough to have parents I feel comfortable talking to. The funny thing is my dad usually knows more about that kind of stuff than my mom, just because he spent so much time at the OBGYN with my Nana. Another advantage I had, was we went to an extremely liberal church, and they had this class for elementary school students, where they went in depth about sexual health, I mean it was really detailed, they didn't down play anything and they didnt insist on abstinence. I actually didnt go to the class but parents could still purchase the text book that went with it, and thats what my mom did. I wish more places could have a program like that one.

I get upset hearing a doctor telling you you need a product for your vulva/vagina... YOU DON'T! It's self-cleaning. Water is plenty. Any type of product except some types of barrier creams are unnecessary and might cause more damage!
