*Corrections*
1) Don't have any corrections yet that I didn't edit in, though I didn't include the Kevin Leonardo nair video because that happened while I was editing the tier 3 section LOL
2) This mostly talks about English speaking TH-camrs, as I don't fluently speak any other languages and it'd be difficult to accurately research
3) During the part of the Come Little Rabbit entry where the captions say "(singing)", he was saying "there's no deity but Allah"
4) During the section about Vlog Squad, there's a spot with censored voiceover yet no caption. It says "coerced her into s**."
5) The weird low quality audio (not censorship) before the clip of NaturalSelector89's final video happened because of copyrighted audio removal. There was a KMFDM song there.
6) Chris Chan's comic was created in the mid-2000s, though I said it was created in 2000 because of the 'copyright' date, which refers to the date of the character itself's creation
7) MisterObvious got his start uploading on a now-deleted channel called HellBoy10 in mid-2006 (the Roblox ones only date back to mid-2007). Most of the videos from this account are long gone.

I find it alarming that 75% of TH-cam’s history in terms of drama are endless stories of creators grooming and sexually harassing kids. Seems like every year, at least one creator is caught for it.
Unfortunately. We'd probably be better without social media too many crazy people nowadays.

Why does this sound accurate?
The story of the man who was bipolar and sung that “Come little rabbit” song actually made me heartbroken.He sounded so happy and hopeful in the song,that it tears me up thinking about how he was just wanting to make a song and become famous and have someone exploit that really makes me sad. May he rest in peace.

Mutual friend of Brianna Ghey's family. The world has been uglier since she passed. It breaks my heart to know anyone would have it in them to mock that joyful, vibrant young girl as though the senseless robbing of her life wasn't enough. She was a child with hopes and dreams and a family who loved her desperately. She deserved to live, and if she can't she at least deserves to rest peacefully.
Those animal abuse channels still make me cry. I had to skip over that part, as it genuinely made me start tearing up.

I usually just play videos in the background while I play games and I figured this one would be a good one to just listen to but I wasn’t paying attention at one point and then I started listening and then I had to just quickly skip over and try to get the tears out

How it started: Dream was a popular Minecraft youtuber who was exposed for cheating in some Minecraft speedruns.
How it ended: Look at this violent argument an unsuspecting guy had in the youtube comment section with a future mass killer.

He eventually admitted that he had an illegal mod enabled, but claimed that he didn't know what his team had put on his computer for manhunts.

Idea for future videos: use indirect phrases for the offenses that people can still understand from hearing them instead of blurring the speech. I like listening to these vids while playing video games and it's distracting to have to constantly switch back to the video tab, rewind and see what the blurred out voice line was. Also makes the videos much more blind friendly C:
I think the thing that made kony 2012 so viral was the fact they went around to schools to promote and show the video, which looking back was so wild of them to do, I remember them coming to my high school and talking about it and showing the video which was horrific.

I find it crazy how half if not most of the youtube controversies involve Minecraft youtubers. I don't know what that says about Minecrafts fanbase as whole but damn.
My guess is that when a minecraft youtuber does something bad it's perceived as more egregious because of the contrast to the innocent nature of the game itself, so it gets more attention.

One of the main reasons would be simply because there is a LOT of Minecraft TH-camrs, especially at its peak. The bigger of a group you have, the more bad people you'll have in it.
Another factor would be the fact that Minecraft's popularity lead to a lot of these TH-camrs being very well known, which means people are more likely to dig up dirt on them, and it's more memorable. For example, who is looking at the past of a channel with only 100 subscribers, and buzzing about it if it's bad, you know?
Minecraft is literally the best-selling video game of all time lmao, there are just a hoarde of minecraft youtubers, that's all.
It's a game that attracts all kinds of people due to its sandbox nature, so it makes sense some bad people would make content about the game mixed in with the good people
14:07 The blackout challenge existed way before Tik Tok. It was a Facebook challenge started around 2006ish. My friend died from it in 2007 and it was a big deal in my city. He blacked out, and on his way down he hit his head on his computer table, and then on a hard wood floor. No one helped him for hours.

I wanna add to the KSI racial slur part of the video. The slur he used wasn't just directed at the pakistani community it's at South Asians in general. There was a time in the UK I believe in the 70s and 80s where racist groups would go and beat up any South Asians or destroy South Asian ran businesses (shops etc.) This would be referred to as 'insert slur here' bashing. I also would like to add people like to act like it's not that bad because they don't know what it means. I live in the uk and am mixed race (half English half pakistani) and still to this day hear the word being used by adults and children alike nonchalantly, normally when referring to a shop ran by South Asians. This could be a reason why KSI didn't think much of it, I'm not defending him using the word but it could be part of the reason he said it. People in the uk act like it's okay or "not as bad as the n word." its not a competition they are both slurs used against people of certain races. Fact.

I will say with the TH-cam censorship thing over the Mortuary Assistant, Markiplier has absolutely proven that TH-cam plays favorites, purposefully uploading videos of NSFW games. While these games were censored, they obviously still violated TH-cam's policies. These videos were never demonetized or age-restricted and are still on his channel. He and other creators are very aware that the platform plays favorites and that what happened to Cory was blatant favoritism for the other creators making let's plays of the game over him. Many popular TH-camr's are aware of this

What a detailed video, quite an interesting watch! I see a lot of comments talking about a lot of the different entries or the general theme of creeps that wind up on this platform (unfortunately), but I personally think the entry that stuck with me the most was "Come Little Rabbit." I knew about a bunch of the deeper tier entries from other videos like this, but that entry was one I never heard about. It was rather upsetting to hear, how that injustice can happen even with the attempts to try and protest the execution. Again, well done video, I think you presented every topic very well!

youtube has been instrumental in finding these communities of degenerates before they do more harm to themselves or others. As terrible as those poor animals getting hurt for views its another chance for the people behind them to be put behind bars for their crimes. If we didn't live in a society of everyone having cameras in their pockets I assure you things would be much worse, you just wouldn't hear about it.

I was very overwhelmed when I tried to watch some of their content, mainly cuz it seems aimed towards younger audiences and even my AuDHD couldn't keep up. It was so easy to just, never watch anything of theirs again?? And that "masterpiece" spam was hardly as annoying as any other spam that came from other youtubers. I wish i had examples but I've blocked them from memory, apparently.
The only way they could deserve to be listed with these other people (i get its a controversy iceberg, but i mean shitty and possibly irredeemable people) is if they're revealed to be a groomer... unfortunately like every other youtuber from day one to now.
I think it was the promotion of the spam, and how far her fans took it. It's pretty annoying when you find a video you like, so you go down to the comments to see what other people thought of it, just to see a ton of spam messages filling up the comment section, dwarfing the comments of other like-minded people like you that wanted to see other people's opinion on the video.
IMO the amount of hate Jellybean got was kinda uncalled for. sure, they mightve been a bit cringey but thats all they really were, cringey.

He really angered a politician named John Barillaro by imitating his voice and using tge word "Bruz"
His house got firebombed and he had to go into hiding for a few months. His TH-cam videos got his producer violently arrested, and many Australian media outlets continue to try to defame him.

The best part is is that right after he went into hiding, he just went right back at it, attacking the military for covering up incidents of friendly fire and war crimes. The man’s got BALLS.

To be honest, I’m super surprised you didn’t mention the “Zooier Than Thou”’ podcast. It’s mentioned in the hypnotist Sappho drama once you go into it a little further but essentially it’s a pro-z**ph*le podcast that, as far as I know, is still on TH-cam to this day. One of the hosts has an extensive history of animal ab*se and has (fortunately) passed away recently from prostate cancer while the other is largely mysterious but an active member of the furry community. I’m not sure how deep-cut of a reference this is, but if have you ever heard of the headline about the guy who died after being fucked by a horse? Yeah the host who died was there for that. Like *there*. There’s a series here on TH-cam that goes into detail on it, I can’t remember the name or the person who made it but it should come up if you look up “zooier than thou history” or something.
Either way, this was a great video! :) I like going into drama/controversy rabbit holes so this was definitely enjoyable

If you want to hear something positive that came out from this list, Nikocado Avocado is starting to lose weight and you can definitely see it in his videos, he doesn’t seem to be playing that much of a character anymore and is being genuine, and the comment section seem to be supportive of him, it’s really nice to see
he’s lost 100+pounds. i’ve been a supporter since his vegan days, and when he began to gain weight, i would comment under his youtube channels begging him to revert back, as his body wouldn’t handle going from vegan to cold turkey omnivore again. luckily, he’s doing very well. while his health is still a bit a bad, he’s been doing an amazing 180. oompaville, the iconic youtuber commentary channel, helped him break out of character. he’s doing very well.

I love hearing about the pre-2010 youtube incidents, they really unlocks some deep memories for me. The MeiAIDS incident in particular is really hard to quantify nowadays; since youtube was so small (especially relative to today) people were CONVINCED it was the end times of the site. Because I was so involved in YTP at the time I remember like 90% of my related videos bar being that goddamn Sanrio character. It was even a meme in the community for a while after to use that image as your thumbnail intentionally. Great times

I mostly experienced YT in the mid 2010’s, so seeing mysteries/incidents in the mid-late 2000’s is like learning history to me. The only way I would’ve known about Mei-AIDS was through someone else recounting the tale (it was Emplemon, if you were wondering). It’s crazy for me to think that all of these lay under the surface, whether it’s right below our feet, or deep underground, almost forgotten.
As a Polish person I don't know how you were able to find out about the zb333 youtube channel, since it's so god damn niche even on Polish youtube. I literally remember being around like 10 or 11 y/o, scrolling on TH-cam (and being subscribed to Logan atm) clicked on the video, watched all of it and was left… unsettled.
1. I didn’t catch on that it was an actual dead corpse hanging off from the tree (I didn’t know that someone could actually do that irl- as having more of a child-like mentality).
2. I found it super shocking how things like this were able to be easily shown on the media (wether it being fake or not).
3. I didn’t understand why Logan was quite calm throughout the video (though I now understand he was quite shocked aswell) and allowed for this to be publicized for everyone to see.
Overall I was confused, surprised, and left questioning what I had just watched. I think I down played it more as I didn’t really understand the seriousness of the video and how it escalated beyond than I realized, I did a day or so later learn the meaning of the forest scenes from the video (about suicide and what it means, and how the person hung himself there. rip). I was baffled, and least to say when I saw the apology video, I kinda gagged as I then completely understood what had happened; what he recorded, his response and how he apologized- it felt so wrong to realize I had watched that.
Sorry for the rant, I just remembered I had watched it when it first came out, like within hours of it being uploaded. That’s my experience and how I remembered learning about suicide, thanks Logan!

I remember seeing the news about it and going right to his youtube channel, it gave me goosebumps looking through his videos and how he had this complete obsession with that one cartoon character girl. I feel like people have to be more alert now when others post worrying statements online while owning firearms. Prayers to those who passed in the shooting, I didn't know them personally but it definitely left the town in shock. The weis reopened but I can't bring myself to shop there again.

1:45:30 Jared was my neighbor when everything with him happened, he lived a house away from me, I was really young so I don't remember a lot other than. a bunch of cop cars on our street and my dad being interviewed on the news. we had to go to my grandmother's from there. the only reason I probably remember it so much was because I was mad I didn't get to go home and play my new Shrek game on our new PS3. I still live down the road from his family's house that still live there. they recently built a brick wall to avoid people asking questions and bothering them, his father seems to be a very nice guy with a big beard and smile. Imagine the amount of communities like this hidden across the website. TH-cam really has to fix itself.

Now as a monkey myself, I would like to pitch in and say that one theory I have heard about the whole "monkey hate" thing is that in many places, they are seen as pests, which is why people hate them so much. Though some of the comments I've read have been... pretty graphic.
That theory makes sense, but the other one I've heard about is that when they see the monkeys get hurt they are actually envisioning.. something else. (like certain people. it's very disturbing. I'm so sorry to the poor animals.)
