  • This was a completely random day. I decided not to use waze and stick with asking locals for directions. It ended up being the best decision as I got to talk with amazing individuals and ended up doing some calisthenics and Arm wrestling at Molo Plaza. This was definitely a day I will never forget!
    Thank you Arm wrestling Iloilo for your kindness and to everyone I met along the way, you guys are awesome!

    If i were to ask why should Foreigners visit Iloilo city? I would probably say, it's not for all. I mean, this city is a calm city, clean, wide streets, good food, and safe. It's more on to family vacation and perfect if you just want solace. Plus, you got to experience the past by visiting the heritage sites around the city, and do mansion, church, museum hopping. Thank you for featuring Iloilo city, hope you had a good time!

    Coming from that spot in Robinsons Iloilo downtown, you can ride the Molo Baluarte jeep and tell the driver that you will be drop off by the Molo Plaza. From there, you can walk all to the way to the Esplanades 1 & 2 which is just a few blocks away.

    Carpenters bridge thats where esplanade 1 & 2 starts and if u continue to walk aroud boths sides of the river then u will end @ the iloilo port and muelle loney by the customs house. Its approx 10 kms and keep on going south via the ongoing project sunset boulevard toward oton iloilo😉

      Wow! That’s amazing! We actually went to Oton that same night as our grab driver recommended a place with eateries. You can see that on my other Iloilo vlog.
      Next time, we might try walking from Esplanade 1 all the way to Oton 🙌🏻

      @@VanandJoe yes ive watched ur othe vlog😉👍 The end point of iloilo river is the town of oton. Technically, iiloilo river is not a river. Its an estuary . Its salty, its has has tide and low tide. It doesnt connect to any other river and this is where the barter trade takes place b4 the spanish came . Thats why a lot of chinese settled in molo 😊. Thank u for being so responsive with ur viewera and subscribers❤️👍🙏💪

    I just saw you on every Man has a story and I just subscribed.. thanks for showing me iloilo and I plan to visit there after I arrive thanks to you.. I'm looking for a place in the Philippines to live without any power outages or with the least power outages.. do you have any recommendations? Thanks 👍

    • @VanandJoe
      @VanandJoe  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Richard! Thank you so much for subscribing and commenting 🙌🏻 The Philippines is definitely a great choice.
      That’s pretty hard knowing that generally we do get power outages here and there. But to lessen the chances of that happening, you need to live in a big city like Metro Manila or Cebu city.
      Problem is, just like most big cities, it is polluted and noisy.
      If you decide to live in smaller islands or the province area then sure, you may get power outages at times but it is tolerable and you get the best Philippine experience. The best beaches are found in the province and locals are more laid back.
      If you want best of both worlds then Iloilo is on top of the list. There are big shopping malls there yet there is not much traffic.
      A very clean city and Ilonggos are so hospitable!
      If you want a more laid back experience, visit Dumaguete. That’s where we live. It is a stone throw away from an amazing island called Siquijor, a 6 hour boat ride away from Cebu city and a 2 hour boat ride away from Bohol . ( we do get seldom power outage especially on Sundays )

    Esplanade will end or stop in molo but i guess there is a proposal or project by by the govt to extend it up to the municipality of Oton.i suggest you should also collab with the 2 foreign vloggers residing in iloilo their you tube channel called "That Philippine life".

    • @VanandJoe
