Agree with you on the Tarte product. Not hydrating. As someone with dry skin, it's so difficult to find something that is truly hydrating. When you do, it's a miracle!

Though, after binge watching your foundation reviews, I ended up ordering Yensa and withSimplicity foundations 😹🤣. Of course I used the links in your description box as always 🙃🙂. Your lips look great! I’ve paired that lip colour with purple (and bronze) eyes before, and loved the looks!!
I was just thinking that lip colour on Shelley would look really good with a bronze-y or a sunset kind of eye, and with a peachy blush! Ooh or like a strong warm brown smokey eye, sexy as hell! 🤩😁❤️

I actually love the lip! It paired so nicely with the eyes :) I’m with ya on the warm lips but this one felt neutral enough to be great! Maybe put a pink lip liner under it? Ooohhh or what if you combine the hot pink with this to make a custom color??

I hold my breath the whole time and usually have to re-do it 5 times! 😂 Nikki Tutorials just had an Instagram post that is the same way I do mine (where you have to draw over the hooded crease and have an odd shape when you close your eyes).

For the lips, I do prefer more pink than brown in a lippue but it goes super well with your eye look! So even though I understand where you’re coming from with a cooler tone, I think this color goes very well on you ♥️
Hi Shelly! Maybe it was the powder, but I thought the color match was good. Agree about the foundation , though. I think everyone has jumped on the "hydration" wagon because of mask wearing. Just my personal observation. I have to say, for such a substandard foundation, I thought your make up looked beautiful. I liked the extra liner on the eye and thought the lip was beautiful.

I had a completely different experience with this product. I always do plumping, lifting skin prep and then applied with fingers over my chemical sunscreen, no other primer or mineral sunscreen since it claimed to have skincare benefits. And I really like the lip color on you.
I thought the lip looked good and seemed to go nicely with your blush. But what I really liked was the thick eyeliner on you. Beautiful!
Ok, so the foundation is a womp-womp. Didn't look too bad but staying sticky? Nah. As for the warm-toned lip, you're like me. I am not used to seeing myself in a warmer tone but it's very flattering on you. It matched the look of the rest of the makeup so it was a very cohesive look. Get used to it, I think you'll get a lot of compliments when you wear that shade!

I think the whole color scheme with your cheeks and eyeshadow works with the lip color. It looks great together on you.

I think that that particular nude lip adds warmth to your face in a good way. A pinker nude would look good too, just in a different way. In short, I think you can pull off a wider range of nudes than you previously imagined. You always look great! :)
I honestly love this lip color on you!!! It might be that I prefer peachy and brownish colors on lips in general, but its honestly great! Your hair looks cute as hell as well

Foundation did the same thing on my 57 year old face, but looks amazing on my daughter's 26 year old face. Has become one of her favorites. Lip looks beautiful. Sometimes different is good. Take care and thanks for another great video!

I absolutely love the lip! Wear it more! I'd suggest wearing cooler tones on your face with the nude on the lips. Either way it goes with everything and Rihanna got another sale...because I'm immediately going to buy it.

As for the lipstick you asked so u know while it does not look bad...at all neither does it add to your glowing skin or personality ! I, like you prefer more cool toned lip shades. I think as we mature it becomes more about accentuating and complimenting our lovely age with every avaible tool in the shed...much love 4 u

Hi Shelley. I love the warm toned on you. I feel I'm warm tones skin so cool tone compliments and the same with you vise versa. I found the same thing with the Natasha D sample eyeliner. Have a great day! I'm loving the new lancome concealer for my mature under eyes. I also LOVE the thicker eyeliner on you!!
I put this on , it looked amazing 5 minutes later I looked like I was 20 years older. NOT GOOD on dry skin.

The lip looks lovely, especially with the rest of your color choices on the total look. I love that Fenty formula! You could blend in a touch of the pink into the nude on your palette and blend apply with a brush for a 3rd color. Give it a shot.

The lip color is very late 90's to me. My sister and more wore an avon lipstick called twig. It looked great on them but you and I are similar, I like a bit more rose or berry in my lip color.

We have very similar coloring so I get where you’re coming from with that lip color but I think it looks fantastic on you! Makes me think I should be giving some warm toned lip colors another shot. Also? I too think it’s a very good thing that Rihanna exists. I just can’t help but adore her.

I think the lipstick looks nice, but if you don't love it as is I recommend trying it with different lip liners. That's how I like to adjust shades that are almost but not quite right for me.

The lip color looks pretty on you. You’re correct when you mentioned getting used to the warmer color. I went blonde about 35 years ago . Talk about color shock…🤣. It was too gold for my skin tone.
About the foundation…I often wonder when the word “hydrating” is mentioned on/in a advert, if they mean “glow-y” or slightly shimmering to give the appearance of hydration.
Tbh, pinky, cool stuff does do u justice & enhances ur already natural beauty. Maybe bc ur eyes are striking? But I’m not a fan of this fenty lip. It’s nice, but I feel like the color/shade/tone or whatever, doesn’t do much. Anyway, another great video! 🥳👍💪❤️

Interesting! I usually agree with all your reviews but this one… idk I have a different experience with. I agree it’s not hydrating more of a satin/natural finish. I have super dry skin as well and this can sometimes stick to dry patches but I’ve never noticed the polka dot pores, my favorite thing about this foundation is just how skin like it looks. In my opinion it is literally invisible on my skin, more so than a lot of other foundations. It in no way is heavy or cakey, I just do a little extra skin prep on the days I wear this and you can’t tell I’m wearing anything at all and holds up beautifully.
I loved that lip color on you, and I basically hate neutrals and nudes.

You look lovely today! The lip colour goes well with the Wayne Gosse eyeshadows, but it’s a wee bit on the orangey warmly side. You wouldn’t want to wear it with any shadow that is more cool-toned. It would be a no-go with the Natasha Denona Glam palette, for instance. Also, I am over the “foundations” which provide zero coverage. I’m not sure what the point is. Other than separating me from my wallet, of course. Also, I have never understood why people cringe at the word moist - it’s the opposite of dry. My banana bread is nice and moist, not dry and crumbly. Thanks as always for a great video.

For me, I'm not really big on that lipstick on you. I don't know if it's because of the rest of the makeup or if it's just because I don't like warm colors very much but it's the first thing I noticed and it was not a good notice. I wish I could tell you differently but considering I think you normally look really beautiful when you have your makeup on... this one just was too far outside of what I think looks good on you. But if you liked it, then you wear it! I'm sure you can rock it. Maybe try a more cool tone eye next time and see if the contrast helps. Just a thought. Hi Shelley oh dear the tarte foundation wasn't great and I hate anything that gives me polka dot pores - so a definite no on that. The warmer nude lip looked quite nice, but the rest of your makeup was peachy enough for it to tie in well. I too far prefer a pinky nude, but it was also quite a light shade and perhaps that didn't help making you more unsure about it. It has a slightly sixties vibe on you, which is pretty but not what you're used to seeing.
I've been wearing the lancome teint idole most of the Summer applied with a sponge for a light coverage and I'm enjoying it. It stays on all day, doesn't transfer too badly on the mask, the shade match is really good on me, doesn't sink into pores/lines and overall wears really well. My skin is very dry though and I need to hydrate/moisturise really well, plus use a hydrating primer for it to look it's best on me. It's not drying, but it's not hydrating either. I'm excited to try the new matching teint idole concealer that has been getting rave reviews and plan on getting it on pay day. I'm hoping I can get a good shade match in it too. For reference I wear shade 008/091 (depending where you are in the world) as I'm super pale - even in Summer. Best wishes.

Hey Kara! Yep check my info boxes - at the very bottom I have my 2 lights listed. Both can be dialed up or down to get the right brightness! They're both on the more inexpensive side but I love them and have no interest in buying anything more expensive. They work well. Now I just need to get the levels right in my new room with the new paint color!

I was so excited to try a sample but I experienced the same thing with it looking funky on the nose and other spots. I tried different primers but couldn’t make it work.
I really like the lip! You can always add a pinkish gloss on top of it. :-)

I feel like that's the holy grail of liquid liners (and still elusive to me) - does not travel, does not dry up, opaque and waterproof!

I hated this foundation. It gave me polka dot pores and showed lines where I didn’t know I had them. To date my favorite foundation is still tarte foundcealer so I had high hopes for this one.
I thought the lip color was nice but I’ve seen others on you that I like better. I didn’t think it seemed particularly warm.
