I was weird and was often made stupid decisions throughout my life and I didn’t always know common sense. I was diagnosed with autism and I do have behavioral problems. I was often a perfectionist and got easily upset when things weren’t perfect and I would often beat myself up for making mistakes and would often exaggerate about everything. I am a musician myself as well and I do consider myself to be a little nerdy. I am 21 and have a lot of friends my age and yes, I do have friends who are still in high school, but at least I don’t lure people in to physically sexually abuse them or kidnap them or hold other people against their will or assault them or prostitute them or pee on them, let alone do it for longer than I have been alive like R Kelly did. These women are scarred for life. This makes me so sad and angry because he was such a talented singer, yet he is what he is and his price still must be paid. I’m happy that justice is finally served because we know that these women won in the end. This is a prime example of why fame and fortune does not mean immunity. Heck, you don’t want fame in your life anyways, because there is simply no privacy in your life with that kind of status, and you are probably less immune, and you’d wish your life was normal again. It’s literally self oppression and it’s even worse when you abuse people like this. Life is scary enough, so why would you want to make it even scarier for you. I hope these survivors become better warriors than anyone has ever become,because why should any innocent person be afraid to live their dreams or be worried about intersectionality and racism no matter who they are in life. They shouldn’t. These survivors will use their power the right way to end sexual violence, unlike the power R. Kelly used to abuse them.
