Nice cover of the now 40 year old classic. I love the sound of the violinist/fiddle. Someone below said her name is Claudia Chopek. So neat to see the (often non-seen in the original) brass section performing. This is truly a faithful live cover.

I used to be the MD for Dexys Bootleg Runners. We had Big Jimmy Paterson join us on stage in London for that one and a few more.

The instrumentals are spot on, especially the violinist. But the lead singer is really straining to hit the high notes and often not succeeding. Makes you appreciate how Kevin Rowland did it so effortlessly.

Ted Leo is one of the great indie artists of the last twenty+ years, I'm embarrassed for him having to do this.
Ted doesn’t have to do this. He loves Dexys music and we have a blast playing it.
