- This is part of my Italian mountain bike tour checking out some of the best locations to ride. Today I am in Passo del Tonale a mountain bike park in the famous Val di Sole region. I also am able to ride Ponte di Legno and a s a bonus Temu as well.

The look on Simone's face when you told him about the curse 😂😂
Absolutely priceless 😊
i'm glad to be in 1 of your videos :)
You are the star of the video. You will get recognised everywhere you go now. Well, maybe only NZ😂
@@bestdayevermtb2 im sure people Will case me from now on to ask me a foto😂
@simox-mania8438 they certainly will. Keep up the riding, and you will be as good as Jackson Goldstone in no time.
@@bestdayevermtb2 hahhaha thanks😂
Great to be a kid again! Nice Flowers! 💐🌺🌼
Will try to film more flowers 😊
Nice video Dude, I live in Italy and I've been there a few times, those holes at the side of the trails are made by marmots, we call them "marmotte" in some zones of the northen Italy there are a lot of them.
They are very cool. I love them.
Best vid yet Lance. Excellent by-play with the young locals
Was good fun riding with the kids. I always love how people assume I won't be able to keep up.
Live it !!! Kids are the best !!
Awesome video Lance one of the best videos so far while you have been in Italy . That track looks so cool. And it’s great to see some young lads showing you around that young man sounds like he is really funny 😅. I’m trying to buy myself one of those Trek slash at the moment. They have some awesome sales on at Evo Cycles at the moment trying to get rid of all of the 24 stock . So they can get in the 25 stock in . Definitely looking forward to seeing you on your next video 😊
I have ridden a Trek Slash a few times now and enjoy the bike.
King of the kids! 😎 Great to see the friendly interactions you had with those kids, especially Simone (and I see it continuing in the comments 😂)!
They were great kids. When they realise I can ride just the same as them, you get their respect. It is awesome when that happens.
What a great day! Great to see kids out having fun and friendly
The kids were very friendly and keen to be in a video.
Quite enjoyed the steam bikes 😂 well see about that when your back in NZ with no chair lifts 😂😂
I am super fit now. Can ride up anything 😂
1:25 awesome that you go back for stuff. You make it look easy
Not always. Sporting a swollen hand today after a mishap.
Hey Lance, just returned from Tuscany myself and agree the Italians are much more sensible about HnS. It shows just how ludicrous NZ has become with cones and speed limits and anything where self responsibility is involved. Hope to see you in the redwoods one day. Cheers excellent informative videos.
Yes, do come say hi if you see me in Rotorua.
Awesome stuff Lance, I've bloody loved these Alps vids! It's so pretty there, may have to get myself there. His face/double take when you said everyone crashes in front 😂😂😂
I thought that was so funny. A real cool kid.
Looks like you're having a blast over there. Nice vids, keep em coming. Who would've thought that you would be on a steam bike keeping up with a youngster on an eBike. You sure he didn't have a flat battery????
To be honest I initially didn't notice he was on an e bike. I am enjoying the steam bikes.
Whistle pigs. That’s what we call them here in western North Carolina. Got some trails called Whistle pig.
I think they are so cool. We don't have them in NZ
Brilliant
looks absolutely awesome, but easier and smaller features to what you normally ride in NZ?
They were smaller, which is why they were fun. Must admit riding all the time overseas. You do need to dial it back a bit.
A new black track has just been completed... right in the area of the big rock... very big jumps and huge berms .. definitely not small at all.. the tracks you did are fun but nothing challenging compared to what you find in some bike parks.. here in Italy, the scene is starting to grow now.. I sincerely hope that you had a good time anyway and I also hope to meet you if you pass by here again. Greetings from Temù… 🤘🏼💣🔥😉 cheers mate!!!
@@Pipposk88 Must come back to check out the new black. I rode in some cool places in Italy.
👏👏👏
Awww so many beautiful flowers. Cool kids. Are the marmots pests like rabbits & possums?
No, I don't think so. Probably a pain on golf courses, though.
Don't chases the Marmonts they will duck into a hole and you will crash. ANother great video. H&S they seem to work on the principal that humans have the ability to think. Mrs BDE if you don't have to fold the mirrors in you have PLENTY of room. As to not making videos when out with Mrs BDE you are suppsoe to be on holiday with her so some time with her rather than filming. editing, uploading etc is not a bad thing
I must admit finding the time to edit has been a challenge. Was expecting more quiet days when raining, but so far, I've been lucky.
Yes Lance ! Another great video and what nice lads they were. You said that you are going to be in France....when are you going and how long for ? I'm in France in 8 days time and would be cool to meet up for a ride .
That would be cool buy leave France on Monday.
@@bestdayevermtb2 Bummer . Did you say that you were staying or Riding Morzine? You must check out Samoens which is only a short car drive away . If you do go try and hook up with someone who knows the place as there is some amazing trails there but signage is abit rubbish also it has some amazing off piste stuff there .
@daveandmerlin could be keen on that although would be on my own. I do get frustrated when I don't know where I am going. Do you know if they have lots of bikes to hire there?
@@bestdayevermtb2 yes mate ....a couple of shops right by the gondola and super nice staff . Honestly if you like natural riding then Samoens will be super good and also the ticket includes Les Carroz which you can just drop down from the very top of Samoens and is abit more bike parky . Samoens can be abit slippy in the wet but if the weather is good for a few days before hand then it should be all good . Also check out Les Houches which is towards the mont blanc tunnel but still not massively far from Morzine ....Bikepark is brilliant but the off piste stuff is amazing and would probably be a idea to get a guide . You said you and the Mrs are going to Scotland...have you been before? I'm guessing you have heard of the Golfie and surrounding areas? Apart from no Gondola,Good weather,Cheap beer and not huge gradient there are some of the best trails that I've ever ridden !
@@daveandmerlin Thanks for all the advice. My wife is Scottish so lots of family time but hopefully escape for some riding .
Marmot? I prefer Vegemite 😑
Very clever.😊
