- My response to this article blaming the lack of girls in Computer Science on the number of nerds in computer science! I need to point out some of these shots were done on the same day as the previous Liana K vid, so yes the black smudges on my face are residual post-hallowe'en make up.

Looking back, no girlfriend would have given the same amount of pleasure to me as my hobbies did (and do). Guys with the girlfriends were forever sacrificing to keep the relationship running(fairly) smoothly.
I agree. Mind you, my relationships were all pretty short lived! So I didn't have to sacrifice much for long! That's the absurd thing; when sometimes male success is measured by how many partners he's had... I
nearly typed "even by women", but I think "ESPECIALLY by women".
I was playing one of these truth games with work colleagues after work a month or so ago, and a few of us were asked how many partners we'd had. I actually had more than the guy there who seemed and acted really "alpha"; not many more - we both had a figure that was in the low teens; neither of us absurd.
But one of the girls said "wow, you just went up in my estimation!" and I thought, seriously, don't be impressed. This has nothing to do with my aptitude for getting into relationships, it's the result of my ineptitude of keeping hold of them. The periods of celibacy in between relationships have been massive.
But I think, when it comes to intimacy with women, it is like the old man, the boy and the donkey story; whatever the route into a relationship there will be someone that disapproves of it. Even if your approach is to do nothing and wait for someone to show an interest in you, you will be accused of being "an opportunist". At this time when there's so much talk about how awful "slut shaming" is, there really is nothing men can do to escalate intimacy that we haven't been told is wrong by someone speaking publically, who's opinion has gone unchallenged. he blames male disinterest in "real girls" on the availability of porn. He's totally got that backwards. It's been made so difficult, in terms of the narrow restrictions on what is deemed acceptable, that it's just not worth it.
Mark P. You know, I really owe the trans women. They are giving radfems new purpose. The radfems are now the ones dealing with the frustration of speaking common sense and being told to shut up.

Well if you set up the principle that the more of a minority you are the more authority you have to speak, they were really making a rod for their own back, there!
