    Thanks for this video!! Would never have located these little buggers without it. Did this yesterday on my 2009 Civic LX that was throwing a P0718 code.
    WORDS of CAUTION!
    1- If you have big arms, e.g.from weightlifting, or you're just a big guy, you will find it *extraordinarily difficult* to get your arms & hands up to either sensor. This is a job for long slender arms!
    2-The sensors don't just pop out; they put up a friggin' fight! especially if they've been in there for 10-13 years. I had to get a big pair of pliers to grab onto each sensor and firmly rotate to break the seal and *then* wiggle them out. It was not easy!
    3-Honda Part # 28810-RPC-013 (long one) 28820-RPC-013 (short one) Note that Honda refers to these buggers as "Pick-up Assemblies" *not* shaft or speed sensors.

    May I ask what issue you were getting that you ended up replacing both sensors. I'm getting a P0722 code and based on Honda forums looks like its the input sensor or should both be done at the same time for that code. Thanks! Good video by the way.

    My output sensor is very difficult to remove any advice on how to get it out? Tried doing it tonight but couldn’t get the leverage on it was wondering if I should use a little bit of some lubricant?

    The issue: if the sensor is not working, the speedo will show 0 speed, and the computer will read that the car is stationary hence the RPM will get locjed at 4K... Otherwisr it will be driveable

    I think it's better to take off the whole air filter box, you can't pin point under the car..

    • @bobdobbs62
      @bobdobbs62 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeahhhh, *but* then you have put the whole air box back on. So for me six on one hand, half a dozen on the other. I found it easier to go under the car with a powerful flood light.

    The tab on mine broke. It's very brittle so I'm trying to figure out how to get the rest of it out without shattering the thing and having it float around in the transmission.
