Well, am Ghanaian with a white American men and I must say that I totally agree on the last tip, however, I disagree on the other tips... :-) Another very important tip you forgot to mention .... hair day! :-) If you are dating and An African girl, you must understand the importance of hair day! After 8 years my boyfriend still don´t get it. That we can spend an entire day or weekend just doing our hair LOL...
I think each individual is different. If one culture says do and one culture says don’t then you discuss how you both feel about the respect you give to each other......Also showing strength to one another shows respect. A man shouldn’t say yes to everything and a woman shouldn’t say yes as well to everything.....Even if a culture expects a certain respect and a tradition it can’t always be granted because the other culture might find it wrong or uncomfortable .....when you give it should be because you want not because it’s expected or it’s a cultural tradition.....Both cultures should expect the others.......Back bone is key....
For your number one tip I am Jewish and I am an atheist so going to church is not my thing and my Ghanaian.(religious Christian) girl doesn't make a big deal about it.
