I think there is an issue with Darnold throwing in rhythm or with anticipation. That said, why would we bring in Stafford who is under contract through 2026 while McCarthy is on his rookie deal.
@@CaptainFantastic222 You couldn't be more wrong site an example we've lost every QB to injury held onto Kirk far too long I would say it's the contrary
Unless Darnold somehow limits what KOC can do as a play caller, why trade for Stafford? The plan was to play Darnold until JJ was ready. We have benefitted from Darnold becoming the QB many projected. I'm not too concerned about the QB play so far. Get some interior IOL and secondary depth and we should be good to go.
I just don't think this trade would make sense. Not for the cost, not for the current record, and not for team morale. Trying to get a QB up to speed on a whole new team is hard enough, but right now the team just seems like they all are having a good time and have good on and off field chemistry. That's not something that is taught, but I feel like can make a BIG difference for cohesion and how well a team plays. At this point, I feel like throwing that off by replacing Darnold would completely mess with the vikes. And when we're playing this good, and playing that good in a losing game, don't fix what's not broken.
I think the argument would be that Darnolds stock is high enough that a team wants him. You want to sell high and with Darnold not being the future, you almost need to think about selling him while the iron is hot. It would make more sense if the vikings were playing bad, but then again, its unlikely if the vikings were bad, anyone would want darnold. Its somewhat of a double edged sword
Maybe have the qb conversation Friday after these two go head to head. Still won't help MN in a few yrs since you'd be giving up draft picks and a ton of money, not to mention losing current players you'd want to keep
The Vikings thay better stay with Sam it's just the other players need to get it together and play right and get there A game on and try harder Skol Vikings Win bring home a championship game
We wont be trading for Stafford, its a waste of breath to even talk about it. That being said I don't trust Darnold in a playoff game to make a play that wins the game. He should have made that pass to JJ on 3rd n 4 and we would still be undefeated. Darnold has that same deer in headlights moments that Cousins does when it matters most. Lets just hope that we can get healthy, capitalize on these next four games and make some trades for the D line that will push us forward and make a run.
I don't want to tell how TH-cam channels should be run but if we keep talking about rumors we are just enforcing the rumor creator/s to keep doing the same. Think about how much time and energy you waste addressing these rumors, just ignore the whole thing and talk about what is factually and realistically going on. Too many rumors from Nostradamus wannabes.
I hear you and normally wouldn't, but I wanted to talk about Darnold today anyways so it fit in. It's also a question a lot of people would have and I want to make sure I address what the audience is curious about, so I don't mind feeding into that. I'm here for *you*, I don't care whether it's good or bad for *them*
5:22 luke what are you talking about. Sam doesn't look good. He looking very uncomfortable in the pocket. He holds onto the ball to long. He makes bad decisions and lastly your star wr seems very unhappy with darnolds play.
I don’t understand how a 37 year old QB with back issues is gonna help

and in the middle of the season ?? Really??
Vikings fans are ridiculous when it comes to their QBs…..
This man has led this team to a 5-1 start….
Goff took the Rams to the Super Bowl whats your point?
@@charlesrichard831 my point is Vikings fans turn there backs on their QBs waaaaayyyyyyy to soon. It’s ridiculous

@@CaptainFantastic222 Sam Darnold was an insurance policy essentially a quality backup and JJ McCarthy got hurt
Because someone on the Internet throws out a ridiculous speculation about our quarterback situation we feel the need to respond 🤮

Capabilities aside… Wouldn’t this shrink the playbook to have a new qb?
in general probably but Stafford ran this playbook in 2021 with KOC, so probably wouldn't add that to the list of issues
I hope we stick with Darnold.
I feel like Darnold is Kenough, but we could do better.
Stop blaming Darnold....
Sam hasn't really done much in the last 2 and half games!
Idk about that, he did have a really good game against Detroit. Came up short in key downs, but on the whole it was good.
vikings need to trade for Dexter lorance not for Stafford

Agreed, we need a new Center and Right Guard more than we need a new QB. If he can have a little bit of time then he would be alright.

I dont think its that we are trading for stafford as much as it may be the rams wanting to bring in darnold
Such a stupid Florio take that's taken Twitter life

Stafford to MN???
No.
You honestly think trading Darnold for Stafford is "indefensible"? Really? I could see disagreeing with it but that's a massive stretch.
Why does everyone think its darnold thats getting traded? They could being in stafford as the backup
Luke your smoking bro. That game was not on the defense. 😊
Giving up 3 tds in like 7 minutes in the 2nd quarter wasn't on the defense?

This is just factually incorrect on the JJ thing lmao
