This is crazy! The building in the background is where I stayed during my vacation in Cape Town, lol. I absolutely love that area. Everything is accessible, there are tons of coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance. Lots of fancy cars drive along that street.
South Africa is absolutley beautiful. Wait unitl you see the coast line... Seriously contemplating buying a home there..

Main Road in Seapoint can get eerily quiet at night… in stark contrast to all the activity in the daytime. It’s better the closer you get to Kloof. But I have never felt unsafe. Being a native of Chicago, I am always cautious by nature.

I lived in Cape Town then moved to Jhb before moving to Redondo beach California. Weather is very similar, Cape Town just rains more than Cali in the winter, so you need abit more layering compared to JHB.

Cape Agulhas is it’s point of Africa where the Indian and Atlantic oceans meet, not Cape Town or cape of Good Hope. Small detail but geography is important👍🌍
Ashley I heard it's snowing in Western Cape, Free state and KZN right now. 😮How are you making out with that, coming from the warm tropical TZ to that. And can someone from SA educate me on how long the winters are in SA. I thought winter was coming to an end.
It's unusual for snow to fall this time of the year as it is Spring time now in SA, am not sure if we can connect this to weather changes nowadays.

Absolutely - Zimbabwe is a case study. In 1980 Zimbabwe had the second most sophisticated economy in Africa as well as infrastructure - politics , mismanagement and corruption is a contagious curse in such a rich , resourceful continent .

People from the diaspora should understand that Cape Town is not Africa, just like Martha's vineyard or Fisher island America, for people of colour you should remember not long ago this was a Whites only area,we black people should stop looking with awe at pretty places built on the deprivation of our kin,like buying jewellery made with blood diamonds, or luxury items made in deplorable sweat shops, if you want to promote The continent there's better examples, Diasporans should do some research.
Ashley can pass for coloured, who are treated far better than black South Africans. I know some black South Africans who claimed to be colored to get into to good jobs.. Remember Europeans owned most of the large busineses in South Africa.
