I remember always asking my dad to play the "tomato video" for me when I was a kid... So entertaining, the rythms, the beat, the progress of the video going along the song's, such a masterpiece.. this altered my brain chemistry forever, thank you daft punk and thank you dad
Of all of the things I expected this music video to be, I did not expect it to be the production line of roma tomatoes as well as a recipe on how to make spaghetti with tomato sauce
my favourite video of all time: it stands there with Goldfrapp's- fly away; and Royksopp's - remind me and other ones that I haven't been able to think of at the moment. The song too is so great, always reminds me of Thomas saying that house back then was seen as rebellious music, as it is so repetitive
Growing up, i was never a big Daft Punk fan. I knew their big hits like Around the world, but that's really it. One day earlier this year, out of sheer curiosity, i decided to check out some of their other songs, and this gem came up. I cannot really describe why, but this song is as mesmerizingly nostalgic as it is beautifully crafted. Makes you feel things you shouldn't be feeling.
This is the first Daft Punk video I remember seeing back in the 90's, blew me away - also might have been the first house track I ever heard?? So sad they are calling it quits :(
A side of my brain would say : criminally underrated banger But the other side says : that's these niche tracks that are the best bangers on planet earth
I remember this song from an old flash game with squares. Id leave it on the computer as a kid just to play the quiet part of the song in the background. Beat would kick in as soon as you hit start.
This clip is fucking beautiful. I'm not from the 90's but shit, back then videos were so cool. From skate to nba logos, everything was fucking bright and shinny. A bit cheezy but so cool

it really just feels like Daft Punk created music that captured the ESSENCE of music. you guys are something else.
Mom's spaghetti, knee's weak, palms are sweaty
Ahh Ruth... ¡qué hot era!
People doesn't know yet, but this video was finally remastered!
I was waiting for this lmao
I remember always asking my dad to play the "tomato video" for me when I was a kid... So entertaining, the rythms, the beat, the progress of the video going along the song's, such a masterpiece..
this altered my brain chemistry forever, thank you daft punk and thank you dad
Daft Punk in 2013: makes a really emotional album dedicated to the 70’s
Daft Punk in 1997: Tomato
There's sauce on his sweater already
mom's spaghetti
+Ostebrix Knees weak arms are heavy?
+Erwan Joulin but he keeps on forgetting?
What he wrote down!
he opens his mouth
but Da Funk won't come out...
This is genuinely one of my favorite music videos, solely because it is so different from any others!
Of all of the things I expected this music video to be, I did not expect it to be the production line of roma tomatoes as well as a recipe on how to make spaghetti with tomato sauce
0:45 Where it all starts..
thanks for 20 years of eargasms around the world.
Huh? This comment is 4 years old but it's really revelant in 2021, especially after that thing which happened almost 3 months ago...
@@SilversonXmusic I love it for that...but man did i wish it wasn't relevant.
Best Daft Punk era
my favourite video of all time: it stands there with Goldfrapp's- fly away; and Royksopp's - remind me and other ones that I haven't been able to think of at the moment. The song too is so great, always reminds me of Thomas saying that house back then was seen as rebellious music, as it is so repetitive
Thanks for sharing those two videos, especially the remind me one 👍
3:12. Thomas was here.
Lived experience. Such a magical time.
The sample is Fun Factory - Celebration (Mousse T's Back to the Old School)
Guess What. The T In Mousse T, Stands For Tomato. So That's Why The Music Video Is About Tomatoes
This is the first Daft Punk video I remember seeing back in the 90's, blew me away - also might have been the first house track I ever heard?? So sad they are calling it quits :(
100% house music
50% Spaghetti Sauce lesson
50% House and funky beats
100% AWESOME!!
Thank Chicago for house
Timeless, iconic, legendary
A side of my brain would say : criminally underrated banger
But the other side says : that's these niche tracks that are the best bangers on planet earth
I just love that spacey Swoosh sound 1:24
Came here to listen that magical snare like it was the last time...
fuck yes, and that mint bassline too
i have this on vinyl. sounds incredible still to this day.
Vinyl is the BEST!!!
So the lore is about how the cop got the tomato stain on his shirt. Incredible.
Thank you Thomas and Guy-Manuel !
Daft Punk // 1993 - 2021
Now I know How To Make Tomato Sauce Granny Style
Who’s here cause of Interstellar 5555 ?👀
27 years to date and still smashes dance floors. Legendary track.
Daft Punk, Forever
Total genius music video, remember it back in '98 it was SOOO out there! So different from the other normal videos, and i loved it and still do!
This is legendary… i bet those born in 2000+ dont even recognize the power of the vibe of this masterpiece
I was born in 2003 and I'm a big french house fan. I was very sad the day Daft Punk broke up
I remember this song from an old flash game with squares.
This cooking show has great music.
I think the whole video is just the girl tripping the fuck out looking at the tomato sauce stain on the cop's shirt and she starts hallucinating how it got there.
I think your right its interesting:)
The best cooking show is lsd!
JNCO jeans, pasta recipes, and cops in actual cars instead of armored tanks... man the late 90s/early 2000s were sublime
Recuerdo la primera vez que te escuche Daft Punk con esta obra maestra, fue amor a primera vista, te extrañare por siempre ❤️
Sample: Fun Factory - Celebration
Love this song! 909/10
This one is all my 15. When homework was clear, I was listening the album.
