    Strange to see these trails on TH-cam!! I lived in the high desert my whole life! It went from Desolate by yourself beauty to crowded, I hope everybody respects the desert when they go see these treasures!! It's a beautiful destination we live in, we all love to jeep and enjoy 👍 thanks for the vid👍✌

      It's nice when it's not over 100* lol I seen a lot more trash and strange camper, like shooting guns in a full camp site up by rainbow basin.... hope everyone remembers safety and respect for the desert 👍✌🙂 if you want a cool drive try watching my trip to the Bristlecone pines... try it up there is many great trails that the weather is good 👍

    Aww man, there goes my secret yellow post campsites! People have been visiting Lyttle creek more recently due to some TH-camrs. Beautiful place just hope people take care of it better than the locals have! H MART KBBQ?

    • @BorderlineExplorer
      @BorderlineExplorer  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Oh I just recently had this discussion! The community is surprisingly pretty evenly split on the topic. Some viewers ask for GPS coordinates and others suggest to leave them out. There are also merits of TH-camrs. Many promote cleaning up and share their group cleanups with the local off road clubs. I've got one queued up as well. Really can't respect people who trash up nature. H MART.

      @@BorderlineExplorer Good to know. Lyttle Creek hasn't been well-taken care off closer to the gun range. A lot of beer cans and ammo residue. Also super packed there due to the river! But once you get onto dirt road you rarely see people. Go in winter time IT'S A BEAUTY! Do you guys have a group where you post meets? Or trail runs?

    • @BorderlineExplorer
      @BorderlineExplorer  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Omg the winter runs are crazy. The snow makes you forget how close you are to LA. We just meet and people bring people. Hahahah very spontaneous. What kind of terrain do you hit? For the most part, we don't go too gnarly. Don't want you to be bored!

    • @solarinsocal6025

      The trail needs to be even more challenging in order to keep the trash out. BTW stop using hatchets on live trees! Stop shooting live trees! Actually just stop shooting and leaving crap like broken glass, cans, casings, etc around. Trash leaves trash! End of rant, now back to our regular scheduled programming.

    I’ve been researching all the vids on YT about this trail, in part because I want to get an idea if I could do this while pulling an off-road trailer. Nice video. I haven't gone to to 3N06A in a couple years. Pre-drought, this trail was different. The stream section was a higher shelf that requires some good approach angle and it was relatively decent all the way through. It appears the heavy rains in 2019 helped to change that trail a bit. How is that off-camber section closer to the end before you get to the camp sites?

      It really depends on trail conditions and if you have some sort of traction assist or lockers. Our last run was quite icy but none of us were in 2WD. Sometimes after rains the holes are filled in. Sometimes after some big 37s or 40s go in and spin it up, holes are just way huge. If you're going to do it in 2WD, definitely don't go alone and have some recovery equipment. With the right line and conditions it might be possible!

    I couldn’t even find this trail I went up there to camp with my friend and I ended up camping somewhere else near big bear

      The first time we explored this area I also drove past the trailhead. Explore around where the entrance trail forces you into the wash. 3N06A Trailhead is somewhere near there.

      @@BorderlineExplorer yea when I was there I was at the creek but it just looked like it was for hikers because everyone parked in front of the creek was getting out to hike. Hopefully next time I go I can find it.

    I came here to see how the passport performed as opposed to its predecessor - ISUZU RODEO!! I own a 2000 Isuzu trooper and can't wait to hit the lytle creek trails. I wish Isuzu would come back to the US

    • @BorderlineExplorer
      @BorderlineExplorer  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What did you think? We went up again with the Passport and the trail was overall more difficult but the largest holes were filled in. He made it up no problem! I'd love to see you in the trooper on the trails sometime. Used to take one on the trails back in 2018.

      Cory Smith, the Isuzu Rodeo IS a re-branded old Honda Passport.

    • @corywilliamsmith
      @corywilliamsmith 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BorderlineExplorer I thought it performed just fine. I'm sure an LSD in the rear or even some Lockers will help. There's always room for improvement.
      My heart sinks for Isuzu as a company and the left over community/enthusiasts misses them too.

    Music is way too loud when watching on tv and the voice narrating sounds muffled.

      Thanks for the feedback. I agree, I used to edit through headphones and it wouldn't reflect most audiences experiences watching through phone or TV. These days I try to turn the music way down but still trying to find that subtle balance.

      Lol we have both Jeeps and Yotas. Both rock! Jeep is waaay off road capable --insane crawl ratios, articulation, and solid axles give me confidence to tackle tough trails. The LC100 has over 320k miles on the odometer. Awesome vehicles.

    I cringe whenever people alter the trail by stacking rocks. As much as I love seeing go out and adventure, please DO NOT alter the trail unless it’s an emergency. If your vehicle can’t make it, then turn around and find another trail. If ya’ll care about camp spots and trails to remain open, then keep it clean, remote, and do not turn it into a highway. Please spread this PSA and keep on making great videos!

    • @BorderlineExplorer
      @BorderlineExplorer  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's so funny. I saw 'useless comment' and had to pause for a bit. This trail is always changing conditions! Last month it was super dug out. Now covered in snow. Glad you enjoyed the video!

    • @allenp4058
      @allenp4058 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Changing conditions does not negate the fact that we all need to do our part. Here’s an analogy: Throwing one plastic bottle out in camp is probably not a massive deal until a lot of campers start leaving trash consistently. Same as altering the trails. Soon enough it’ll get too crowded because a Honda Civic can now access it, or it’ll get closed for public use. I really enjoy your videos and I hope you understand my point. Stacking rocks is now a big deal in the off-road community. Keep the trails intact and camp spots remote and clean! Cheers and more power to you sir!
