  • In this video I’ll show you - how to diagnose and repair Xiaomi M365 electric scooter faulty battery.
Found bad BMS - replaced with new one.
Found 9 dead LG LGGBM261865 cells - replaced with Panasonic NCR18650PF
For this repair I used equipment and products:
    Xiaomi M365 BMS - shorturl.at/awCF0
    Panasonic NCR18650PF 18650 cells - goo.gl/S75c3s
    Imax B6 AC v2 charger - shorturl.at/cQWX9
    Malectrics spot welder - malectrics.eu/

This video really helps a lot. My scoot recently stop working and I brought it to the service center. The service center informed me that my scooter's warranty is voided due to liquid damage and was charging me for control board and battery replacement costing at around 250usd which is too expensive. After watching this I tried to diagnose the parts by myself and It was just only a bms error. I just reset the bms and it works. Thank you for sharing your knowledge

You should name the specific service center and its location so they can have pride in the fact they are ripping people off. (Assuming you thoroughly tested the scooter and this was the only issue).

Great Video and Good explication about troubleshooting a faulty battery . You can get the rest off the cells unbalanced gest beacouse it’s impossible to perfectly match used cells with new cells . But you can grab out a good cell and make a discharge test and see how many mAh you can get and after that you can put new ones or used ones as close in capacity possible .

I understand i will have to rip of the spot welds but looking at the plastic shell i believe there must be some mechanism to held in place the cage on each side? Would you know how to? What else would you suggest while doing so? Thanks in advance

Depending on how long the "bad" cells were totally discharged for it might be possible to recover them. I have had luck with using a lab bench power supply to bring them slowly up to around 2.9v and then using an intelligent charger set to 100mA to go to their storage charge voltage. By this point I'd strongly recommend if the cells do take charge at this point that you then sit them for a couple days and regularly test the cell voltage to ensure they are not internally shorted before then fully charging them at their rated charging current. These cells of course may not be quite as reliable as new cells due to the over-discharge but again, I have had super good luck recovering flat 18650 cells this way.

@Well done Tips , I like the video, thank you for the value : )
I will glad to get advice from you .
I'm going to take flights with my Scooter often . I'm planning to separate the battery from the scooter and carry it on with me in a bag , and the E scooter I'm planning to check it .
Did you take a flight successfully with Xiaomi M365 ?
How was it ? did It go smooth ?
If not yet , Did people you know that made it successfully ?
    From experience please
The known TSA Statements are that :
    2 Lithium batteries are permitted.
Lithium batteries from 0 -100 watt-hours are allowed.
from 100 - 160 wh may be allowed with airline approval, only in carry-on bags .
and from 160 + wh batteries are not allowed at all.
I read new TSA information that :
" One spare Lithium battery, not exceeding 300 watt hours, or two spare batteries, not exceeding 160 watt hours each, are permitted in carry-on bags. "
:) If that's true, the problem is solved as the Xiaomi is 280 wh !! : )
So I'm asking what is the best way to flight with the Xiaomi M365 ? just simply separate the battery ? to divide the battery to 2 so that every battery will be 140 wh and get the airline approval ?
Thank you very much for your Reference brother !
    Wish you the best
