I just started my hydroponic melon yesterday.

I just watched this video and the one about cucumbers. Why does the water have to be changed for watermelon but not cucumber?
cucumber will take one month to grow and harvest, melon will take more time .

You mean the clay pebbles , I use them as a media to support the seedlings , you can use lava rock or Perlite as well or Hydroponic sponge

You can multiply the EC by 1000 then by 0.5 (or 0.7 depending on ppm formula) to get ppm. So their EC was 2.035 =2035*0.5= 1017, or 2035*0.7=1424
