    I had a friend tell me my 13 month old is probably delayed because she doesn’t have teeth or walk yet but she literally hits all these milestones you said. Some ppl just need to learn to shut up sometimes 🙂 she’s the reason I got so discouraged and started researching and making a doctors appointment for my baby 😑😑 never thought my baby was behind until she opened her mouth

      Does the baby have teeth now? I've never heard of a 13 months baby without any teeth at all .I can see why she would have been concerned. I'm sure she didn't mean to offend you.

    I'm so glad I found this. Your explanation of speech has made me feel so much better. I keep thinking my son should speak but he doesn't but he really understands words.

    First time mom here. Just stumbled across your channel. My baby just turned 14 months old. This video was very helpful to see what she/we have accomplished and what we need to work on. Talking out daily task and activities is one I can do better with. Thanks for the suggestions.

    My 14 month old is a very social butterfly he waves at everyone (in store, on the street etc etc) and doesn’t have anxiety around people. Is this something to worry about

      Same. Mine smiles and waves at strangers, especially when they smile at him. I keep waiting for him to turn into me and hide from people. Lol

    Our house is kind of bilingual so I really don´t know how many words my son knows. I speak to him in English sometimes, his mom and grandma speak Spanish. I know he he knows pan. But not dad. I say dad, but his mom and grandma say papá. I prefer dad though.

    Thank you! I am wondering what are you saying to your child while you are doing the ball agains the wall exercise? Could you please provide the script? I am not an English native speaker but i am raising my kids bilingual ( Rusdian and English) .

    At what age is it common for toddlers to find/create their own personal spots in the house? Mine has been enjoying little nooks ever since he could crawl/walk but is now at 14 months actively enjoying hiding in new spots lol

    • @CarnahanFam
      @CarnahanFam  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You're so welcome! Toddlers wanting their own personal space is more of a personality thing. Especially if when they do it when they're young and you positively reinforce it (Where'd the baby go? Oh there he is! He's under the table! How silly!) and make it a game, they will continue to want to display that behavior! Sounds like you've got a fun little guy! 💙

    Thank you for these informative videos. I have a 1 year old daughter. Did you ever see small subtle signs in your daughter that could have been seen as autism signs?

    • @winter333
      @winter333 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hi there I’m 22 and autistic, so I figured I’d share the signs that my mother noticed when I was a toddler- knowing words but not always wanting to talk or babble, lacking body self awareness (I bumped into things or got injured easily), lining up my toys instead of playing with them, walking on different parts of my feet (toes, heels, sides), being sensitive to sensory things such as textures (sometimes in food, and I didn’t like being barefoot on grass or sand) or bright lights or loud sounds. I was hyper sensitive to the cold and heat. That’s all I can think of for now, hope this helps! Doing your own research (I recommend Autistic Self Advocacy Network or National Autistic Society) will also help, as well as talking to her doctor!
