The insane power trio of Akane, Misa, and Kanami are in full force here but it really is the vocals of Saiki and Miku that make Black Hole special. My ears just love their voices floating over top of the controlled chaos of the instruments.
Love Band-Maid so much, only band I have paid attention to in the past 4 years or so, although I'm starting to appreciate the Warning more. Please do check out more Band-Maid, maybe Rinne, Domination Live, Puzzle Live, Warning MV, heck they have more than 130 fantastic songs, just pick something :). Thanks for the reaction and looking forward to more.
6:43 "So tricky." - Leo Torres That's BAND-MAID in a nutshell. Their overall sound is classic and somewhat familiar . . . until they zig when you think they're going to zag. And the more you think you know what's coming next, the less likely you are to be correct. It doesn't matter if you're a first timer listener or a ten year veteran, you never really know what they are going to do until after they have done it. BAND-MAID truly are masters of their craft.
Only Band Maid could take a song this chaotic, and musically intricate, blend it all together, and somehow the vocalist still manage to stand out themselves... just insanely good composition. Band Maid and The Warning killing it right now huh? If only you could satisfy fans of both at the same time! Oh wait, you can! Band Maid just released a song WITH The Warning, called Show Them.
Band-Maid...always a surprise, but oh such a gooooood surprise. Love it when reactors think the song is going one way and then they are surprised by the direction taken. It's what keeps Band-Maid interesting and entertaining. Keeps the brain juices circulating.😂 Great reaction! Check out the Band-Maid and The Warning collaboration, which was just recently released! Keep on rocking! PO!🕊 🤘😆🤘
I had read in another comment that when putting together Black Hole, Kanami asked Akane what her fastest bpm was. Akane said 190 bpm, so Kanami told her I'm writing a song with 220 bpm, so deal with it. lol So obviously Akane dealt with it. Manners, to me is one their best undercover songs with that bluesy rock feel and catchy lyrics and Miku's yeah yeah yeah's and screams. The best part is that at any show this song is played, every person in the audience knows when to join Miku in her parts. I was lucky enough to be able join in at two of the three times I saw Band Maid.
This song is monumental in the panoply of rock. No one else does, or can do this- the genre is Band-Maid. Five genius's. Try Different Official Music Video next.
Any instrument you hear in the Backing Tracks, unless it's a doubled vocal, is played by Composer and Lead Guitarist, Kanami. Keyboards, Synths, Virtual Instruments etc...
The keys and horns are on their backing track. However, the backing track is programmed by Kanami, the Lead guitarist/Lead Composer for the band. And the Ladies used this song as their opening song earlier this year at their Day of Maid, May 10, 2024 concert at Zepp Haneda in Tokyo. How many bands do you think could START their concert with a song like this?
WARNING! (maybe your next B-M song?) It's bad MANNERS to stop listening to Band-Maid because you'll feel starved for musical excellence and joy and fall into a BLACK HOLE of emptiness... probably! 🤔 Thx, Leo!

Bands everywhere: "The bass can't be the lead guitar."
MISA: "Hold my beer." (or Jim Beam as the case may be)

I'm not satisfied, they need to release more!
Really, to me "Show Them" feels like a first step. So many little hints of new possibilities.
Thanks for your review!
