A credit score below 650 is considered to be bad/poor based on the various credit services.

If you're in NJ the credit score is 620, the max in NJ depends on the family size so for a family of two it's over 100k, You still need money saved to show you have money, also a lot of times you still need to pay the down payment unless seller will wait til closing if not they will give it back to you at closing. It takes 60 days to close in NJ using this program. Also you have to love there for 5 years or pay then back and you can purchase up to a four family house.

Yes Honey! I am listening! I believe I will buy my first home next year. I have this year to gear up and buckle down. I'm ready to build build build and yes I agree with the You. I'm so tired of my rent going up for no reason and my apartment literally remains the same. I didnt even get a free carpet cleaning and it going on 2 years.

Omg yes. This is amazing. We are closing on a house in Louisiana next week. Had we known this we could have stayed in the city, but we had to move to a suburb few minutes away but it changed our daughters schooling situation. Subscribed. Our realtor didn’t tell us any of this.

Kelly Austin Yes, website is naca.com. The program works. It just takes patience, prayer and perservenance. Your experience will be different from others that have posted reviews. But be positive and you can have a home with no down payment, low interest rate, even if you have bad credit. Best wishes!

I'm planning on buying my home next year. I went through a non-profit to give me my voucher to use it within 1 year. It was on a Saturday 8am-5pm and they help you to become a homeowner. While the required credit score is only 650, until next year FEB (when I plan on buying my first home). I've been increasing my credit score as well as saving money to prepare for homeowners expenses,etc; This video was very helpful :)

Ok. With all due respect, I immediately sat down to hear the information entitled " Best Down Payment Assistant for Homebuyers in 2020" I was waiting for you to address the topic. I am confused. I am buying a house this summer and of course this topic would have taught me something!!

What I hope to accomplish is to make sure home buyers are aware of the Down Payment assistance options in their state and how to evaluate them compared to the lender down payment assistance options. Review the link to the downpayment assistance available for California and work with an agent who is knowledgeable in the area you are considering and they can tell you what area has the most reasonable fees, because that can be a major expense. twotimes87: YES!!! NACA is in ALL the 50 states. I live in the state of Georgia and have purchased 6 houses during my life and now I’m going through NACA. Good on their website any real estate agency will tell you that this company is the real deal.

Which is better for financing a bank, credit union, or mortgage company besides the interest rates?
They all have pros and cons. Get a quote from all 3 but banks and credit unions are usually slower to close and that can be a disadvantage in this market

Question - with maximum income limits being so low in some states (under 50k for 1 person) how would a single person be able to afford a decent home making less than 50k?
Good questions....in Georgia they recently raised the income limit to 90K per household, but sometimes these programs don't keep up with the cost of living.
