    Beautiful journey, thanks for sharing! How did you go about planning the route and getting to know the air fields along the way?

    • @AngeloMagni
      @AngeloMagni  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      thank you Patrick! I used an iPad app called SkyDemon to plan the routes and airfields where I could land! another great app is ForeFlight

    Hi! Nice flight, congratulations. It would be interesting to post, or alternatively to get in touch about the list of things you took with you for the entire trip. Like documents, tools, must haves, and many other things you would like to have next time. Much appreciated, thanks

    • @AngeloMagni
      @AngeloMagni  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      thank you Bogdan! must haves: portable fuel tanks (bag format), updated AirNav Pro maps on the ipad, getting clearance to fly from the various aviation authorities at least 2 weeks ahead of the flight (many countries will not accept a ULM unless you have written consent, like in Spain…). A bag with 1 week of clean clothes, and that’s it! :)

    Very nice film of your trip, great combo of lfying and destination clips! A question: what fuel did you tank? Was it AVGAS or UL91 / E95/98?

    • @AngeloMagni
      @AngeloMagni  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      thank you Daniel! I used regular car fuel E95/98 :)

    Hi Angelo, great video and you make this look so easy, I start my training January 24 and cant wait to get started but I’m really concerned about talking ATC, its like another language and all seems so fast for it to register and catch everything they say, any tips on conquering this.

    • @AngeloMagni
      @AngeloMagni  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Glad to hear you enjoyed the video! Talking to ATC seems harder than it really is! The amount of terms used is very limited, it's just a matter or memorizing them and learning to speak them. There are a ton of videos on TH-cam which help you practice (like this for example: th-cam.com/video/4AwAxsfCBuA/w-d-xo.html).
      I found that listening to real-life Live ATC online helped a lot: www.liveatc.net/
      Simulate actually speaking while you listen to these communications and you'll get your brain tuned to them! Happy flights!

    Possibly a brutal question but what did it cost you to fly your plane for 14 days? Possibly do a breakdown of your costs and make a video out of this? I think many would be interested in that. But this was a top video, fun to watch!

    • @AngeloMagni
      @AngeloMagni  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      thanks for writing and glad you enjoyed! I spent around 800 Euros in fuel (flew approx 30 hours, I think this plane only burned 13,5 litres per hour), very few airports charged me for the night parking and spent in total around 200 Euros, about 1000 Euros in accomodation/meals .. if you use Booking.com at the very last moment you find amazing discounts, so I would literally book hotels as I arrived into the city. I actually got paid by sponsors so ended up making money at the end!

    Hi Angelo, I am planning to own UL and regularly fly between IRL, UK FR NL BE and PL. Could you share your experience with flight plans etc? I was not thinking I would need to give 2 weeks notice each time I enter any of the countries

      @AngeloMagni  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      hi! you can find all the information for each country on this useful PDF: www.ulm-fournet.com/documents/MLA_flying_in_Europe1.pdf
      and here is up to date information as well: www.theeuropaclub.org/flying/country-specific-information

    Did you fly with an ultralight licence? I thought you can't cross borders with those and you don't need to submit flight plans?

    • @AngeloMagni
      @AngeloMagni  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have an EASA PPL license (also a FAA CPL and Costa Rica CPL) and I did submit flight plans (mostly using the SkyDemon App) and yes you can cross *some* borders with an Ultralight license but you cannot fly in controlled airspace, which makes it pretty limiting.

    Over the sea you whould be high enough to glide to shore if engine fails.I see you weren't abiding by that safety rule...

    • @AngeloMagni
      @AngeloMagni  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      sometimes it’s not possible unfortunately, for example flying from the UK to the Netherlands would not be allowed nor possible on this aircraft but I had safety gear inside the plane in case of an emergency sea landing
