The fragrances could also be in some part responsible for the deterrent. Sometimes, cement dust scattered from nearby constructions or repairs deposit in your garden and flower pots, choking the drainage. Dilute hydrochloric acid (also called toilet acid) put on the top surface of the soil will foam up and you will observe the original color of the soil which is mostly red. Pour water on the top soil and let it overflow as waste. Next water the plant two to three times and observe that there is now free drainage. This works but you should take full responsibility trying this out! Try a small test on a pot with no plant and see if anything will grow in it after giving it a rest.

Sir, how do you control mealybugs. They have devastated my Datura plants. Tried the desi method of using dish cleaning liquid solution but ended up having all the leaves and stem drying up and ultimately death of the plants. Pls help🙏

Maybe you mix the dishwashing liquid to strong. And also spray when the sun is down in the evening.
