- Just like any animal-loving parent with opposable thumbs, Asha Leo decided to make an Instagram account for her 3-year-old pit bull, Pirate, and later realized what an impact it would have. The account became a way to advocate for pit bull dogs and to break the stereotype people have about them.

Fantastic video .. please keep it up! My son and I rescued an AmStaff who was abused. I’ve had German Shepard’s, Great Danes, Labradors but Junior (our AmStaff) is the smartest, funniest, most intelligent and sensitive, and strongest of them all. We had to move when we adopted him because of breed restrictions. No regrets. Junior has also been pivotal in helping my son deal with PTSD, making him feel safe and secure when triggered. Thanks for doing this!
Same as my fur baby. Piggy just passed. Neighbors who were afraid of dogs would let their children pet her. She was so calm and friendly. Pitties are amazing.
thanks for showing that pitbulls aren't the vicious killers they're portrayed to be. Yes aggression has been bred into them over hundreds of years but in a loving home, they're some of the most loving and friendliest dogs out there who would have no problem putting their life on the line if the situation ever presented itself

She choose me. (She was about 6 months old when she came in my life)
2 days after the funeral of my mother she came walking into the garden of my mother's house on Aruba.
Nobody in the neighborhood knew her so I kept her.

I love that you advocate for pit bulls! I have known good ones and bad ones. My next dog will be another pit bull (adopted as an adult from a rescue group that temperament tests all its animals). I recommend that approach for any dog adoption. Best wishes to you and Pirate!

Me Pit Bull Benny was just like him. He died suddenly and young last September. I still grieve deeply for him.

Hi there. Denmark is calling. Thank you for a very informative and important video. I really loved watching your video and to hear your story. I "admit" that I am not a "pitbul person", but I love to year how much you have achieved with your pitty. I think it is very important to train and educate dogs and owners, so they don't end up as problem dogs. I have trained dogs myself. I had labrador. It is also important to tell beginners in the dog world, that training and education is important and a dog is not a "teddy bear", you can just put in the corner when things get a bit hard. It is like getting a 4 legged child in the house.

I'm on my 5th pit bull none has.ever been violent why because I only give love love to them the problem is that when a pitbull does wrong they put them to sleep instead of going after those owners that made them mean if the law did that ill.change foresure
