  • Our granddaughter Abby is 8 years old and she has Juvenile Diabetes (T1D). She was diagnosed when she was 3. She does not let her situation stop her from any activity. She loves spending time with her family and friends and she loves to learn. When Abby was diagnosed with T1D, our whole life changed. She has to have her Blood sugar levels checked before every meal including snacks that means poking their fingers to draw blood to monitor, then we need to inject Insulin, Abby now has an insulin pump that has been a great blessing. Finally, we need to focus on what to eat or not eat . . . While insulin injections or infusion allow a person with T1D to stay alive, they do not cure the disease, nor do they necessarily prevent the possibility of the disease's serious effects, which may include: kidney failure, blindness, nerve damage, amputations, heart attack, and stroke. I am asking for your support for our team ABBY'S ARMY and all those who have Diabetes.
Special thanks to: Katy Perry "Roar"
