Hi Sarah, my granddaughter (5) and I drooled over the video this afternoon and went to the store to buy the ingredients. I made the recipe times another half because we have 4 adults and 2 children eating and it was awesome, nothing leftover for lunch tomorrow. I'm not a speedy cooker, so it did take me a while to do all the chopping, but this goes on our menu rotation without hesitation. THANK YOU!
Hi, Sara. Thank you for the tips on keeping the kids happy. My youngest has just started eating broccoli, so you just don't know how much this little recipe is going to help me out! We know if the kids aint happy then it's hard for mom to get rid of stress. :) Thanks, girl. xoxo
I'm so happy you posted this because, I was just looking up how to make Chicken and Broccoli Stir-Fry for tomorrow and then I found this video! You're a savior !
Hi Sarah, I just finished making this recipe, and it was so delicious and simple to make! I did however reduce the amount of ginger and used 1 tablespoon of liquid aminos instead of 2 tablespoons of soy sauce. Can't wait to try more of your recipes :)
Love your videos and all your hidden secrets to cooking that the everyday cook would not know. Like the broccoli and ginger in tis video. Keep the great videos coming.
I really liked Everyday Food when it was on TV and think it should be back on TV!! Sarah Carey, Lucinda Scala Quinn, et al. were great and it was very educational and inspirational in that it made you want to go to the kitchen and cook! That's the mark of a good cooking show. Food TV has degenerated into a kind of obscene food/game channel, food as contests and it's just absurd. It's increasingly hard to find the kind of terrific cooking/teaching shows like those that used to be on TV. There are still a few on PBS but even those are getting scarce. The online cooking bloggers are a mixed bag for quality, but Jenn Segal of "Once Upon a Chef" is excellent, and I'm sure there are others I'm not aware of. Sarah Carey, I think you're terrific and wish you had your own TV show! Thanks for all the great "inspiration" to head for the kitchen to cook.
Sarah I just made your recipe for dinner exact measurements and followed all your instructions and it came out great ..even my husband praised my stir fry. Thank you!
I make this sauce for my pork and bell pepper stir fry! I used rice vodka a little bit because I don't have ginger. It was still great! Thanks for the reciepe. Really useful😀😀
Your video recipes are amazing! They are so professionally done, I feel like I am watching a show on the Food Network! Your videos are quick, simple, and funny so please keep them coming!
Dear Sarah, don't worry about it! I am full Chinese but I just love every episode of what you do, especially your take on Chinese food. I am so sad I don't get to eat it tho ;(
No need to use a wok. Do you have a heavy skillet....? a cast iron skillet? I love to make stir fry in my cast iron skillet, i actually think it works better than a wok on most home stoves. xs
Those ,, You Tube Chefs " are soooo selfconfident , they use too much salt ( often ) ,some odd ingriedences , totaly UNNECECERY , they change OLD Classic into some strange , OWN dishes , BUT they keep old NAMES ! OK , everybody can do what He ,She wants but ,,Cesar Salad should be a Cesar Sallad , ,,Beef Wellington "the same , not a ,, PORK Tenderloin Wellington" spiced with ,,something " better , low Calories ! I hope you understand my point of vue? Anyway Tania ,Cheers !!!
So you dont velvet the chicken first? In other recipes, they marinate the chicken first with some combination of egg, soy sauce etc etc, and then they briefly cook chicken, set aside. Then they cook other ingredients before adding the chicken back in.
I am not claiming that this is REAL Chinese food. This is not what i am trying to offer. I am trying to give people ideas for good tasting food, that is easy and fast, using supermarket ingredients. Sometimes i use "flavors of" Chinese, or Indian, or Thai...but would never claim to authenticity.
scale of 1-5 how spicy is this made to this recipe i wanna make this with beef strips instead of chicken but scared the sauce wont be mild enough for a 8yr old and 3yr old
hi, I don't think this stir fry is so spicy because it doesn't use any chillies. if you want to cook this for kids, you can cut down the amount of ginger to half. hope it helps 😊
Thank you for teaching people to eat the center broccoli stems, they taste great, and it's annoying watching other chefs waste them

I love the look of that sauce! I am going to give that a try next time I stir fry. It's a favorite quick and easy meal in our house!

I tried it. I loved it. Thanks for making life easy.
It's 08/23/2019 and TIME TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL 6 YEARS LATER...…….this is still a good meal.

I loved it!😊❤️👍
Here's a tip to save you time. Use your microplane to grate the garlic and ginger NO PEELING.
Instead of using water use cooking wine better flavor.
Couldn't find toasted sesame oil at the grocery store... Can I substitute with something else? Thanks very much and keep up the good work
Nice.but too much ginger

I am vegetarian. Can I use a supplement for oyster sauce?
I agree
We don’t usually keep oyster sauce on hand. Is there a substitute?
Where can I find the recipes to print off please?
+Anilou , look for the recipe in the description box bellow the vide :)
+Elena Plamadeala Thanks Elena
omg, that looks good
quick and easy!thanks!
I just made this and I have to thank you for the recepie. it's delicious👅❤. It's unfortunate, I can't post a picture.
how do you make your rice carey?
I’d do double sauce
what can you sub for the oyster sauce?
I bet this would go great with ramen noodles instead of white rice
+Andrew Sinclair I can't have starches, so I use bean sprouts instead of noodles.

School started last month for me.... :(
Yummy.
Wow
yummy!!
I'm using vinegar NOT wine. I know they are different. Just giving options. s
I live in Asia and I am a Chinese and well , it is quite Chinese ... I guess ?
Way too much ginger!! Half that & you got a great recipe
+Claire Coyle I agree, I made this and all I could taste was ginger. I made it again with 1/4 of the ginger and it was great.
Claire Coyle o
Too much ginger! All you need is a thumb size piece, grated into the wok.
You can leave it out. If you like your dishes to be a little sweet, try hoisin.
Use less if you don't like it...i LOVE ginger
Thats too much ginger I guess
Yep like what I thought so.
the larger pieces is less flavor, but easier to pick out.
nice :D
Chinese rice wine is a lot less sweet, and has a deeper smokier flavor.
I'm scared to use dark sesame oil. I smell it and I'm scared my dish will taste like it
Thanks very much. Good job. I'm with you henceforth. Waiting for you in my channel too.
You can leave it out.
What is your Instagram?
+Liz Pearson I think it's @sarahcarey1
Most of the advertising that pops up are for made in China products so think twice before purchasing....
Wendy?
I'll just eat the broccoli & rice
you use too much ginger
she just told basil to back off
that's a lot of ginger
the ginger is to much...
Ok I watched enough videos. I am ready to start dating again. Who in here can cook?
thats not a chefs knife, its a sanatoko
