Love Okuma rods ! Although I did snap an EVX in half, my fault. Got over 12 rods and 20 reels. Used to love fishing there but this old man can't make the hike anymore.
@@matthewmercer2477 their rods are nice! Especially for the $. Sorry to hear you can’t get out there anymore, maybe try to get over there in a small boat / gheenoe?
@@chiptreks thank you, I don’t live near there anymore so I don’t fish it as much as I used to. There is good fishing inside the actual preserve year round but I like going there in spring like late March through the end of May
My favorite size reds.
I tapped the thumbs up 👍 button to feed the algorithm monsters.

Really cool spot the one you found!
@@JonathanAKuhn thanks! 🙏🏼

@@chiptreks it will probably be really good this fall when it starts to cool off a bit in November
How deep is that water on the trail?
@@troydavison2467 gets about thigh high
What inline hooks you got on that spook and what size? You like them?
@@Peeler86 Mustad Kaiju Inline Single Hook - size 1/0
Love them, they’re super sharp and don’t rust
@FLFlatsmaster you change out the split rings too?
@@Peeler86 no
@FLFlatsmaster thanks for the info lol I actually just picked some of those hooks up, just weary on how the hookup ratio is on snook though.
@@Peeler86 anytime! You won’t have issues if it’s over 20 inches. The small ones have a tough time getting it though but that’s ok in my opinion
how do you get there from burnt store?
@@zuphry1915 there are multiple trails that go out to the flat
I don’t catch shit on those flats other then snook
There’s reds along the shoreline and always trout out in the potholes
Hes a pro and makes it look easy. I usually do the same as you out there plus lots of trout.
