Hard to believe that DC-8 is still flying. I remember taking them across the Pacific to different assignments while I was in the US Air Force in the 1970's ... cattle cars we called them - great memories!
Difficult to top that DC-8 for the rest of the year in terms of a top-5 catches list. Very nice compilation, looks like there's still some traffic in KMIA, good to see!
Wow! What a great catch with the DC-8! Wondering if this is the one rescued from Kingman AZ in 2020, after being abandoned there for many years. There are also regular MIA visits from Kalitta B727 freighters, so keep a look out for those.
Great spotting at a great airport! MIA has got to be the greatest airport for catching all kinds of airplanes and is absolutely one of my favorite airports to fly in, out and spend time at! All the best!!!
Probably the first comment to this awesome video ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️... Awesome the first 737 max 8 flight to newyork after 2 years....I was amazed to see 737 max 8 flying passengers.....SKY BLUE DC 8 AIRCRAFT 52 YEARS😳😳😳😳.....Is still DC8 is airworthy?????
Wow. . ASTAR, ATI, and BAX were still using the DC8. Now only 4 are airworthy unbelievable. I heard they can be expensive to operate 3 man crew and 4 engines....ASTAR had a few painted up in DHL livery and they would fly into LAX from CVG or Wilmington Ohio....
According to Planespotters.net there are 6 DC-8s remaining in service. This one, N817NA of NASA, N782SP Samaritans Purse, and 3 with TACS in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. 9S-AJO, 9S-AJG, and 9Q-CJL.
That DC8 is so sleek compared to many of today's fat boring efficient tubeliners (apart from 757). Older jets were faster too (like 707 and that Convair)

Absolutely! 🛫❤

Wow a 737 max and a DC-8! I haven’t seen a DC-8 since I was a child. Very cool catches!❤️👍✈️

Fantastic to see the DC8 and yes, what a beast!
when I first saw the thumbnail, I couldnt believe a DC-8 was still flying

Yes that DC-8 looked and sounded awesome. Love the buzzsaw engines of the 777-200ER's.
My first time seeing a DC-8, probably one of the most Beautiful Aircrafts i have ever seen🥰
Lucky you catching that DC-8! Saw on FlightRadar24 that it's a regular visitor at Miami. Would love to have Skybus send that thing up north!

I immediately noticed the World Atlantic MD-83 at the beginning of the video!! 🛫
I saw the DC-8 a few days ago in FlightRadar24. By far my luckiest catch. Amazing angles and beautiful camera work! You're amazing! :)
That DC8 - 52 years. Beautiful Plane
Awesome. I cant wait to get the DC-8 at Willow
Oh yeah me too! Especially with those old engines
Holy cow, the roar of those cfm56s are amazing. Sorta sounds like the RB211 engines on the 757.
Oh, that DC-8! Put that on a loop...
It's amazing and beautiful how some of these planes climb the sky
Great to see the DC-8
¡¡ A DC8 !! Wowwww
Hey, I was just wondering where you usually go for spotting at ORD. I'm thinking about going there one day if it is public access.
737 max 8 and a dc 8?!? Great views mate
Fantastic to see that DC8
Those GE90's on the 777 sound like no other engine! Awesome!!

Well of course it's airworthy! Wouldn't be flying if it wasn't lol. If an aircraft is maintained properly, it can fly for a very long time!
@@LeppAviation Thanks for the clarification...
Was that DC-8 upgraded to Turbofans? Such a rare sight!
Very nice!!! I saw that DC-8 at MIA last week too lol. I have the video on my channel,
DC8 with peruvian registration! It was parked here (I’m from Perú) in an airport in the amazon for some months.
is it just me or was the a318 louder that the 777 300-ER
Beautiful!!!!!
Jealous! I saw one years ago, but didn't have my camera. DHL.

Had them at my old cargo airline. Awesome catch.
Just found out that was one in our fleet (N816EV).
Great video!
Good the see the 737max flying again..dont think am ready to fly on one as yet maybe in a few years..
Awesome video. Do you use any colour grading or filters for your videos, or are these the natural colours from the ax53?
I don’t use any color settings on the camera, all the color adjusting is done in my editing software
@@LeppAviation Alright, thanks.
Where do you go to plane spot at MIA? I'm fixing to go there sometime next week for a day there. ^.^
How do you figure out the aircraft's flight plan and everything do you use a flight tracker or something ?
How do you know where they are going and coming from?
Flight Radar 24
Ok thank you.
Nice plane spotting !
737 Max is flying again? How elegant the DC-8 is. Looks immaculate too.
It is! And yes, she looks great for 52 years!

Seeing a DC8 nowadays is like hitting a jackpot in the lottery
Why are there some many wide body planes on such short flights ?
Lindo dia para filmar 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
awesome. Love planes, haven't seen a single plane IRL still looking to go planespotting.
Where do you live that you've never seen a plane before?
@@timobrownie6198 I mispoke a bit - I've never seen a plane other than small ga planes closeup before. Only thousands of feet above.
@@Donity ah right, well I hope you have a chance to see some soon!

nice catch!!!
There used to be a great live stream camera of MIA I wish it would come back online
The DC-8 looks almost like 757-300 with four engines!
The pencil!
You read my mind😅
Who is the owner of that DC-8 and I wonder what the interior of it looks like... Would love to own one my self
SkyBus Jet Cargo owns the airplane, and the interior is completely bare my friend lol
What airline is the dc8
Wait so why is that dc-8 still flying

There are two American Airlines flights directly from Miami-Lima
1. AA 1307- Airbus A321
2. AA 917- Boeing 787-9
the bird at 10:54 this is very dangerous
Boeing 737 Max? I thought they were shot down
American’s have been back in the air for almost a month. And many more American carriers are reinstating them in the coming months
Southwest is scheduled fir 3-11-21.
Just a heads up.
Just a side note the American A321s are 231s not 211s
Thanks for pointing that out, that’s a typo on my part, lol
I couldn’t watch this collection to the end, sadly. There was a loud, grating metallic noise on the footage which took away from the take offs
I was working on the dc 8 flight.
In case you came for the DC-8: 5:14

52 year old plane?! Jesus
I mean there’s a lot of commercial aircraft well over 50 years old lol. Most GA aircraft are well over 50 years old too!
