The concluding footage where you show the night lilies open against the universe's intrigue is some of the best nature footage* that I've ever experienced and I'm 51 and I've always been a nature show lover thank you very much.
Brilliant work BBC Earth. I love these Kingfishers. They are called Pied Kingfishers and we have a lot of them where I work at Bumi Hills Anti-Poaching Unit in Lake Kariba, Zimbabwe 🇿🇼. They often perch on tree stumps near our patrol boats and virtually every day we see them hovering and dive-bombing the small fish in the reeds. Remarkable birds.
Crediting nature to a mythological deity is so intellectually lazy. Do a little scientific research; there's no excuse at this day and age when you have the Internet.
I have seen this in real when we went on a wildlife shoot. It was a real treat to see how a Kingfisher hovers above the water and then dives in the water like an arrow.
Esta ave parece um torpedo a cair na água, incrível!! Admirável quando a natureza das flores muda as as suas pétalas do dia para a noite... é simplesmente fascinante e desconcertante!!
Kingfisher's Epic Dive to Catch Prey | Seasonal Wonderlands | BBC Earth. 211.24. They've done thee whole hunt eat screw scenario to death. The topic of communication is a Good idea as listening to moiglike noises insects make is pretty amazing. More on that, please... As for the globe per se, it seems to be heating up and getting wetter. Though I am in accord with the notion of magnetic field being in flux than anything else with reference to the promotion of mass hysteria. Yes, more sounds of the insect world, for sure...give your radiophonic workshop guys something to record as opposed to creating in studio conditions...
It is not the world's largest hovering bird. The black-shouldered kite is 35cm and that's just what I can think of from Australia. Bit shoddy from the usually excellent BBC.

I'm trying to imagine the fledgling kingfishers learning to hunt!---Stunning views of the water lilies.

You do some of the most important and appreciated work for animals on the planet, all the while putting your own lives at risk...thank you so much.
Beautiful creations of mother nature. ❤❤❤
AKA, God.
Beautiful creation of Almighty God - the creator of the world and the heavens 💕

Absolutely, there's no excuse for you not to acknowledge your creator. @JanetStarChild
The night bloom....... Never had I seen such a beautiful sight

0:59 It's incredible that they developed the ability to hover just for that.

That water looks too shallow for diving from those heights.
0:12 This is so strange.
can someone tell me about the location of this footage
The Kestrel hovers and I think it is larger.
Why is it King?

How is this bird the largest hovering bird? Kestrels are bigger than them and also can hover..the video info is a bit inaccurate
👏🌌🔝🤩
I feel like the last 2 and a half minutes or so should have been split off into its own clip.
A pied kingfisher? (
💮
I think this is not the largest hovering bird. Black shouldered kite is bigger than this.
what about kites i watched and got pictures of a kite hovering today
Is it same on female to called King? Or queen Fisher😂?
Same with emperor penguins

Largest hovering bird? Tell that to he buzzards I've seen hover.
Their neck is a gimble.
Wrong, they are not the 'largest hovering bird'. Many large birds can hover and often do such as Ospreys and Rough-legged buzzards.

Dude, your worshipping the Sun in the sky, Jesus never existed. Sun of God Sun IS GOD. All religion dates back to worshipping the sun. Sorry.
I've seen these many near my hometown
