I have admired Eric's work for some time and have heard him speak of his childhood and life's battles. It's great to see him creating such beautiful work. My sisters and I are reconnecting with our maternal heritage after our mom passed as family issues subverted much of what our grandmother was able to pass down before her death. Not having a connection to your heritage often feels like a boat with a broken rudder. We take connection as it comes. Blessings!

I did not realize that “The Sixties Scoop” Eric referred to was where Indigenous children were taken away from their birth families and adopted out to (primarily white) strangers. This is an unthinkable atrocity, and I look forward to future updates on his collaboration.
