    Anyone else shit them selves when he mentioned the price of the cleaning head. Hope that thing is worth it. That's a pricey chunk of steel

    Curious as to why you wouldn't plumb a sludge sucker for dirty water transfer and use the pressure washer instead of the slow 120v pump and generator? 8gpm sludge sucker will transfer at 90gpm

    Nice rig. I like that you have heat. Your pressure washer is nice, 8 gpm should get the job done. I wish you much success.

    Hey bud! I'm in Tuscaloosa considering the same thing! I played for the Tuscaloosa Warriors so I believe we know each other. I have a few suggestions. Instead of the 110v transfer pump and generator, I would utilize a small 12v Remco demand pump which would be less of a hassle to use which allows you to transfer the water each time so none sloshes out. I run a pressure washing company full time, and I would take yours back and get them to re plumb that washer. That's a lot of odd fittings (leak points) and I would never use heater hose for a pressure washer supply line only reinforced non collapsible hose with 1" ID minimum (1.5" preferred). Also get some corrugated pipe and coil it up inside the IBC totes, it will reduce the force of the water sloshing around. Don't use that surface cleaner with your pressure washer anymore, the nozzles are too small and you'll etch any remotely soft concrete. Get a 20" BE or 19" Whisper Wash and put the appropriate sized tips in it (not what comes in it).
    How many customers are you seeing so far? Any pushback on your pricing?

      Thanks for the info man! Customers have been slowly signing up. Just not a service in our area currently so no one knows it’s a thing. We are having to totally educate the customer and just get in front of them

    Hey man ! I built my own bin cleaning trailer too. Starting with the big boy rigs was just not an option for me. For now, I prefer putting money on advertising than on a monthly payment !
    Here's a couple of things you might consider:
    1- You might want to consider installing a lifter sooner than later. While lifting bins by hands is the quickest way, it becomes rough on the shoulders when you do it all day long.
    2- In my experience, mechanical transfer pump are not the best and reliable way to transfer dirty water. I might be wrong on your setup but just saying...
    3- Even with a 5.2k axle, the trailer structure seems "weak". Unless I'm misinformed, the axle carrying weight include the trailer itself and everything on it. Having the dirt water + washer and heater in front of the axle must put a ton of load on the back of your pickup truck.
    Other than that, your setup looks pretty good ! Mine looks similar but I'm on the 4th or 5th version of it, from changing some bits to complete overhaul. I'm currently designing what will be my next washing bay to include a lifter and get rid of the transfer of water to another tank.
    How many bins can you wash with 275 gallons of water and your 8 gpm washer ? I'm only on a 3 gpm cold water pressure washer and I'm wondering if I go with a 8 or a 5+ gpm hot water machine. Does the hot water is enough to clean the bins by itself, cause part of why I want to make the trade is to remove the soaping part of it, which consume time and money.
    Thanks and good luck to you in your venture !

      what lifter do you reccomend? I don't need those that they use on the profesionally mades ones because those are meant for real garbage can lifting and being able to pick up a lot of weight. I was thinking you could just make some type of lifter with hydraulics.

    • @richardlambert9056
      @richardlambert9056 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Nateflys Far from being a pro on the subject, I would say it depends on your budget and the tools/knowledge you have access to. You might be lucky like me and find a used "real" bin lifter, or tipper as they call it, for a fraction of the price of a new. Bought mine for 1 200 $ used like new. same thing new is 6-8K $ I would say. The ones that are on the "pro" builds are like 10-15K $ not including the hydraulics. The prices above are in Canadian dollars, I could not tell how much it is in other currencies.
      The one thing you might not want to overlook is how high you are able to lift the bins with the lifter. If you want to collect dirty water below your cleaning bay, you want your bins to go higher, obviously. And that's come down to what I mentioned previously about the budget and the tools/knowledge you have access to. But it's not impossible, I've built one using 12v actuators in a past version of my trailer. It worked fine, the actuators are just not durable enough to be pressure washed and lift the weight on a daily basis, but it worked for 2 years. Downside was slow lifting speed.
      Hope it helps !

    just use a 12v sump pump in the hopper put the float valve in a 4" pvc pipe so it doesn't move around and turn on while moving

    Your washing system is too slow, you can never do 190 containers per day!! which we do at the company where I work!!!!

    • @townsendliving9750
      @townsendliving9750 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      This is to start out with, as he stated. If you're doing 190 cans a day you can afford any truck you'd like and don't have to worry about home made set ups
