The Ultimate Homemade Trash Can Cleaning Trailer
This is a rundown of our homemade cleaning trailer. As a new business it's key to not have crazy overhead and be tied up in a large payment just to have the ability to even clean bins. Here is our effort at avoiding that while allowing us to clean and get our business up and running and start turning profit!

If I added a hydraulic system how much would that add to cost?
Awesome video! I’m still watching and probably should just wait until the end to ask but do I need to start with a hopper or can I just wash the bins on the street if I pick up trash afterwards?
Can I ask what the population of the area you service is? I’m thinking about doing this in my area of about 15.000 people. Do you feel like that’s too small of an area?
Awesome Video!! Thanks a million
Respect the hustle... however a single axle for 275 gallons...? Not counting the weight of everything else. You going to go through a tone of tires from uneven ware and the axle won't be able to handel that for long.
Idk Maybe I’m old but We wash the cans out every once and a while With an old broom and some laundry detergent Never would have dreamed people would pay for some one to clean their residential trash cans
Great video! Informative and helpful. Thanks!🍻
Awesome build and walk through man. I have been researching a good entry level set up, this was BY FAR the best video I have found!!!
YOU COULD'VE HAD YOUR OWN SPRAYER HEAD MADE FOR CHEAP I BET UNDER 200 MOST OF THESE MACHINES ARE NOT WORTH THE MONEY THEY SELL FOR I SEEN THIS VERY SMALL ONE THAT SITS ON THE GROUND AND IT WAS LIKE 6,500 FOR A SPRAY HEAD AND SOME SHEET METAL??? TOO MUCH GREED IN THIS COUNTRY!! I SEEN A 360 degree Stainless Steel Rotating Tank Washing SPAYER HEAD FOR ABOUT $70.00 YOU GOT T/O LEARN TO SHOP AROUND YOU COULD OF BOUGHT A USED PRESSURE WASHER FOR LIKE $600.00 IVE SEEN THEM OUT THERE!!!
THAT S CRAZY PRICE EVEN 25 GRAND YOU KNOW HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE FOR YOU TO RECOUP THAT MONEY BACK AND MAKE MONEY ON TOP OF THAT? PEOPLE DUMP TO SPEND 75 GRAND ON A GARBAGE CLEANING SYSTEM!!!???
Good luck, and nice ambition. However lifting bins up like that all day is a killer.
Perfect video brother. Absolutely perfect! Thank you!
Good video, thanks for the details.
What do you charge for 1 can? And what's the amount of time spent on one service?
You yap too much about nothing. It's not that's serious
Hi could you tell me what the name is of that washer head and where i could purchase one
Mommy and daddy money
would highly recommend to place a major panel board to control everything from one panel instead of walking all over the trailer to turn on one par of the system but overall great video, thank you for sharing! KEEP UP THE MAGIC!
way too much money to clean a trash can..i would say..
No bro, you spent way too much money
Thank you for the great video and detail sir.
what kind of tip or nizzle is that? what is it called?
Good stuff man, killing it
I bet breathing all that in everyday is great for your lungs buddy. I’d be wearing a respirator for sure.
I thought it was water Isn't it like scolding hot water to clean?
But it's a trash can no one is going to eat out of it
But it smells
@@zafi8993So? Its far away from your house😂. Just dont smell your trashcan maybe?!😮
@@alwinfrisk1482 idk about where you live, but where I live trash cans are all around the city and I have to walk next to them and, therefore, smell them
Can I contact you about how to setup
Do you have a brother that has a TH-cam fishing channel?😅
Curious as to why you wouldn't plumb a sludge sucker for dirty water transfer and use the pressure washer instead of the slow 120v pump and generator? 8gpm sludge sucker will transfer at 90gpm
just use a 12v sump pump in the hopper put the float valve in a 4" pvc pipe so it doesn't move around and turn on while moving
Awesome video! Wishing you the best!
Anyone else shit them selves when he mentioned the price of the cleaning head. Hope that thing is worth it. That's a pricey chunk of steel
Total Rip off price but I think he doesn't want to get dirty and scrub the inside or the bins himself.
What size is the trailer?
Do you have a parts list and build schematic on this trailer?
$25k for the trailer etc. + a vehicle to pull it
Nice rig. I like that you have heat. Your pressure washer is nice, 8 gpm should get the job done. I wish you much success.
If you put corrugated drainage pipe in the bin the water wont slash around.
Your washing system is too slow, you can never do 190 containers per day!! which we do at the company where I work!!!!
This is to start out with, as he stated. If you're doing 190 cans a day you can afford any truck you'd like and don't have to worry about home made set ups
damn that generator, why not a battery set up with some good pumps 12v?
Bolondi For those wondering on the cleaning head he calls it. Took me a moment to find myself 😅
Video helped me alot
Give us a follow up on the business. How’s it going?
Great work, LOTS of small business owners get caught up in having the nicest trucks, trailers and equipment! Keep your over head low and profits high! Way to go buddy!
Where you buy this nozzle?
Thanks Man! Excellent set up.

Hey man ! I built my own bin cleaning trailer too. Starting with the big boy rigs was just not an option for me. For now, I prefer putting money on advertising than on a monthly payment ! Here's a couple of things you might consider: 1- You might want to consider installing a lifter sooner than later. While lifting bins by hands is the quickest way, it becomes rough on the shoulders when you do it all day long. 2- In my experience, mechanical transfer pump are not the best and reliable way to transfer dirty water. I might be wrong on your setup but just saying... 3- Even with a 5.2k axle, the trailer structure seems "weak". Unless I'm misinformed, the axle carrying weight include the trailer itself and everything on it. Having the dirt water + washer and heater in front of the axle must put a ton of load on the back of your pickup truck. Other than that, your setup looks pretty good ! Mine looks similar but I'm on the 4th or 5th version of it, from changing some bits to complete overhaul. I'm currently designing what will be my next washing bay to include a lifter and get rid of the transfer of water to another tank. How many bins can you wash with 275 gallons of water and your 8 gpm washer ? I'm only on a 3 gpm cold water pressure washer and I'm wondering if I go with a 8 or a 5+ gpm hot water machine. Does the hot water is enough to clean the bins by itself, cause part of why I want to make the trade is to remove the soaping part of it, which consume time and money. Thanks and good luck to you in your venture !
what lifter do you reccomend? I don't need those that they use on the profesionally mades ones because those are meant for real garbage can lifting and being able to pick up a lot of weight. I was thinking you could just make some type of lifter with hydraulics.
@@Nateflys Far from being a pro on the subject, I would say it depends on your budget and the tools/knowledge you have access to. You might be lucky like me and find a used "real" bin lifter, or tipper as they call it, for a fraction of the price of a new. Bought mine for 1 200 $ used like new. same thing new is 6-8K $ I would say. The ones that are on the "pro" builds are like 10-15K $ not including the hydraulics. The prices above are in Canadian dollars, I could not tell how much it is in other currencies. The one thing you might not want to overlook is how high you are able to lift the bins with the lifter. If you want to collect dirty water below your cleaning bay, you want your bins to go higher, obviously. And that's come down to what I mentioned previously about the budget and the tools/knowledge you have access to. But it's not impossible, I've built one using 12v actuators in a past version of my trailer. It worked fine, the actuators are just not durable enough to be pressure washed and lift the weight on a daily basis, but it worked for 2 years. Downside was slow lifting speed. Hope it helps !
Looks good I’m building one now in a enclosed trailer I’ll be posting soon
Are you still posting ?
Looks good bro, all you need are walls for advancement. And figure out how to build a lift and your golden
Badass very nice
Hey brother I appreciate the video. Are you in Michigan by chance?
