Thanks for clarifying this awkward feature Andrew! let's hope that Steinberg reverts to a safer and simpler way to do this in future updates. A wrong path on my opinion!
I've been looking for the tap tempo. Thanks for clarifying this!!! Also, I have an off topic question. While creating a midi pattern in a 4 bar loop and recording the first note on the 3rd beat of the last bar the note will cut off when the loop starts over. The are many times I need to start recording just before the loop actually starts but can't because of the note cut off. I've several hardware sequencers over the years that doesn't cut off the notes when looping back to the beginning of the loop. Is there a workaround for this in Cubase Pro 13?
hi michael, that is indeed odd behavior,,, but then again cubase is famous for odd behavior,, especially behind the scenes where something might be going on you are not aware of, speaking of which this sounds suspiciously like a record mode is set that you may not be aware of. One thing to look for is on the transport bar see if some things are highlighted that normally you wouldnt pay attention to,, anything that looks like it shows time or a bar marking,, make sure nothing like that is highlighted causing punch in punch out behavior,, which would cause the skipping of the last bar you are describing... andrew
Awesome episode, Andrew. Very helpful. :)
