    I practice my British pronunciation to the others ones and they say that I sound like a native british speaker.
    Edit: I came two years later, I can't believe how much I improved in English 🥺

    what i really like in your vids, you are one of very few teacher who exaggerate the sounds, and this is really cool, cause i think only this way you can learn it. i've seen many movies, where i could just see a short describtion of what to do with my tongue etc. but its hard to apply in pracitce, in your case is way easier :)

      Hi Adr805, Thank you for your comment, explaining what you like about the videos. Your feedback will help me to make more videos where I exaggerate the sound, helping make the sound easier to learn. Happy new year and good luck with your English Practice in 2018!

    Hello Michael. My example sentence ; When she came home early from work, she saw a bird flying across from the third building along Jameson street. And when she stopped to purchase bread and cheese from the shop in Burn Street, she saw a girl dressed in a beautiful dress.

    English School Online Community: TH-cam recently changed the way they monetise my content. My channel now needs 1000 subscribers so it would be great if you could show your support by both sharing my videos and subscribing to the channel if you haven’t already done so. Monetising my videos allows me to invest back into the channel by creating more frequent videos so a small gesture from you goes a huge way for me! Many thanks for your support.

    I have a doubt regarding the position of the tongue. I don't know if the tongue is pulled toward the middle of my mouth or simply placed right behind of the teeth like the sound æ

    • @britishaccentmethod
      @britishaccentmethod  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Brian, Good question. Your tongue is pulled toward the middle of your mouth. The front of your tongue can still be near your teeth, but the priority is to pull the middle of your tongue to the middle of your mouth.

    • @britishaccentmethod

    what's the difference between /ʌ/ and /ɜ/. /ʌ/is shorter and /ɜ/ is longer? Any other difference?

    • @britishaccentmethod
      @britishaccentmethod  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Case, /ʌ/ is also slightly lower in the mouth. /ɜ/ is from the same position in the mouth as the schwa.

    the schwa is the short sound of the long sound 3: .or no

    • @britishaccentmethod
      @britishaccentmethod  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Carolina, apologies for the delayed response. It's very similar yes, so when your learning the schwa, one good way to think about it is as short version of 3:. Because the schwa is such a common sound in English, its really worth putting in the time to learn it correctly. How is your pronunciation going?
