The thing with *harvest* is that you need a *ton* of storage. Keeping the water out of the storm drains is another valuable, and easier to implement strategy. We've used those rain barrels that the municipalities provide to "slow the flow", so that more of the water can percolate on our own property (1/4acre suburban) instead of running-off into the storm sewer.
