Just remember that any sensor that has to do with fuel pressure or a fuel ratio like the ones you mentioned will give you power loss. Cummins has high and low fuel pressure sensors that if bad will derate your engine. Another tip if your cam or crank sensor are going out the issue will be intermittently it comes and goes. Also if you go to start your truck and your tachometer is not moving while you start your truck then it might be a possibility that your crank sensor could be shot or a ecm fuse blown. Just thought to add that in there

Great info. I have a derate for spn1172 fmi2 turpo inlet temp sensor. Dealers are closed on labor day today so i cant find a part. I have 400 miles to go today and it keepts derating and then gping back to normal. Just trying to make this delivery on time. Hope it doesnt shut me down. 🤞
What can cause pressure drop in the fuel rail? I’ve already swapped out the fuel rail pressure relieve valve. No codes but pressure in the fuel rail still dropping from 29k psi to 160 when I shut the engine
Loss of ignition power to the engine could cause a loss of power too. Fuel metering valve. bad ECM. If you don’t mind loading up the parts cannon and just replacing stuff. Best thing to actually do is log data with insite, get it to act up, have a cummins expert like me or at a dealership review the log file to pinpoint exactly what sensor is showing improper data. At least at a dealer if they don’t have a tech that can review the log file, they can send it to cummins for review by a level 2 expert.
My truck is a Isuzu prime mover Exz engine number 6wh1 tc 417126.. My truck vibrates heavely when it's running on ideal and when I'm driving with heavy load it also vibrates and also looses big power in the engine when I try to speed up to 20kilometer it looses power so I really don't know what's the problem
I have a 2000 Freightliner FL70 with an 8.3 ISC Cummins with the CAPs fuel pump system. And I have power loss...I wonder if I have those same sensor's on my engine🤔

my friends truck had that issue, it was a crack in the intake manifold itself, then he found out his turbo wasn’t screwed down properly. It was on a Detroit 60 series tho
Cummins insight will tell me any issue with any one of those sensors. I have yet to see one of those sensors fail or wiring issue without a code. That's not to say it doesn't happen. I'm sure it can. I'm chasing a bug on a DD13 right now. No code, throttle response goes dead only in high range. That's gotta wait now though, -30 cold snap breaks lots of shit in a fleet.
DayRider, has happen to me, we’re I had power loss, the truck recorded the issue and was a brief engine light earlier and went away quickly which I could had missed, it was recorded and I found the issue on inactive codes. You can have a code for something and ends up being another. It’s just how the cookie crumbles ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
My truck is running sluggish.. loss of power and when I'm loaded and take off normal I get gray smoked but if I'm climbing a hill and got to put a pressure to it it turns black, any ideas

The sensor on the side of the filter housing is the crankcase pressure sensor not position sensor

It was my intake manifold temperature sensor
Using cleaner on a sensor causes it to foul quicker the next time. Use a clean, dry brush to clean it.

Check your throttle body or the accelerator pedal position sensor
