I know everyone's talking about the hornets and beans, but can we appreciate the absolute drip with nerf kicks and pokemon suit

For anyone that's curious, that first moth was a female gypsy moth laying eggs. That tan-colored egg casing is actually made with the scales of her abdomen. The males fly and the females don't. They are an invasive species here in the northeastern United States, established since the early 1900s. They can be incredibly destructive and this year has been particularly bad but I have to admit that the infestation gave the forests west of the White Mountains a hauntingly ethereal vibe when I visited in July.
It's such a wild coincidence that every location in this video(apart from that Tokio department store) I've been to back in 2018. Spending a day (and night) in Akiu onsen, having a walk through the Rairaikyo gorge, taking in a panoramic view of the entire Sendai City up the Aoba Castle ruins, and looking out from the observatory during golden hour.
It almost felt like a trip back in time!
It made me laugh when you had to beeeeeep Sharla over and over and over lol. She's always been my favorite TH-camr. She's such a kind and genuine person and I've always respected and liked that about her :) And Norm, congratulations on getting the shoes. They suit you very well. Speaking of suits, that Pokemon suit is great :)

Seeing Sendai from a different perspective instead of the one I saw from Abroad in Japan was a welcome experience! Btw that view from the mountaintop is AAAAMMMAAAZZZZZZINNNNGGGG!!!!
I got goosebumps just by seeing Sharla's reaction plus all the blips of censorship. Then you showed the hornets nest, and I understood why she got so scared.

This video was so nostalgic for me! I lived in Sendai (right down the street from Sendai station and AER building) for 3 years and that view from Aoba-Jo takes me right back! How many Date Masamune did you see while you were there? If you ever go back, you should head to Jozenji-dori and see the Mediatheque all lit up at night. It's a great place to relax or get some work done.
Sendai is a great city. I was surprised the first time by how hilly it can be in places. I had always assumed it was flat. What also impressed me were the cherry blossom trees everywhere and the broad tree lined streets that create a nice canopy. Before my last visit there, I spent the weekend at Yunushi Ichijo, a ryokan in a mountain hotspring town just outside Shiroishi. One day I went into Shiroishi to see its castle. It was the first time I saw a large town in Japan where literally half the buildings were gone because the population had shrunk so much. This is a town that is on the main line from Sendai to Tokyo too. I wasn't expecting that at all.
Her reaction when she've noticed the nest was priceless 😂and I feel like Sharla loves forcing people into drinking this shake 🤣

Brought back all the feels and memories of walking around the station every day. Even that tunnel in your opening shot was part of a regular route for me. Such a great and underrated city. Almost went to Sendai in 2012 but ended up going to Sapporo instead. Probably will end up going there trip after next (although hornets are a reason to avoid anywhere!)

I wanna move to Sendai so bad (failing that to Western Japan). I wanted to move there last year but my company sent me to Aomori instead (from Kuzumaki in Iwate). After a couple of years here I'll try again to get there. This video makes me wanna move even more lol

ah, the view of Sandai is really nice :) I also like the sound of cicadas, but they are so loud! We have some similar bugs, crickets, they also made some noise but are not THAT loud and way smaller.
Wonderful Video. Hope one day i will be visiting Japan. Maybe visit Sendai and hopefully have the chance to say hi to Norm and Sharla as well.

Rewatching GBBO has been one of my few happy places while stuck in lockdown / pandemic-land, so the orchestral music in the last few minutes of the video just made me hope there would be pastries at the veiwing platform.

So much to like in this video. First, the Reebok x Nerf collab shoes (did you know there are/were Pump hockey skates) are awesome. Next, the Charizard plushie is too cute. Sharla talking about the huge butterfly then getting attacked by it was pretty funny (come back, yeah. YAAAACK!). Norm bumping the hornet's nest, Sharla looking puzzled at it then realizing what it is and going "Oh f*** f*** f*** f***!" would be a funny cartoon. Sharla thoroughly enjoyed the chunky bean shake. The best part of the video, Sharla was in it. Yeah, I'm a Sharla fan. I've been watching her videos when she was still consuming dairy (like when she went to Nakano Broadway and got that huge ice cream cone. I even did a drawing of it. It's on IG.) Sharla is awesome. That Norm guy is also not too bad. Hahaha.

I was extremely anxious when Sharla told about the hornet's nest and just kept thinking "I would've had a full-blown panic attack" (I'm absolutely terrified of hornets, bees and wasps - to the level that even seeing a picture gives me the creeps. We don't have hornets here (I hope!) but they are *huge*) and then you put the picture on screen :D Thanks Norm! Had to skip past it because man, that's just scary :D Overall, top notch videography once more!

LOL. I rewatched the video of when you bumped the hornets nest several times and didn't see anything either. Incidentally, hornets coordinate their attacks by marking whatever they sting with a scent. So yeah, if you'd been stung and walked by the nest again good chance any nearby hornets would have attacked.
