Not sure about the colours and I travel solo nearly always , I have never seen a double bed made up that way and since we pay almost double for a cabin , I want a full bed with a full size duvet not half! However I do like the staff and small ship style of ship with Fred Olsen, I am tempted.
We have just come off Borealis and had a lovely time. For 2 people, a balcony suite was a bit squished until we got used to it and who moved first! Next time with Fred we are going in a Premier Suite which has much more room
There was an ashtray on the balc table in premier suite, does that mean smoking is allowed on the balcony? Also only negative was the Tv position otherwise very nice

We're toying with possibly our first cruise and it would be 2 premier suites (we don't share!) on Borealis. My problem is that none of the cruise lines' ships are hotels I would choose to book. They're either vast and tacky or desperately dated like Fred Olsen. I appreciate their ships are old, but these suites are tragic. They look like a Premier Inn from the 70s. Ghastly decor, cheap looking furniture and THOSE CARPETS! Eeek! I just can't bring myself to pay so much for such drab accommodation. Nor do we want to be told what to wear to eat dinner. It's 2024 and time F Olsen realised the world has moved on. There's thousands of people who would cruise but put off by all the absurd formality. I've eaten in many Michelin starred restaurants in a casual shirt and jeans. I never wear trousers. All this stuff has prevented us from taking a cruise before, and maybe it will stay that way. I'm 64, btw, but hate show tunes, corny comedians and bingo. Much rather have an Indie Disco. We wouldn't use any of the "entertainment".

I’m sure if I’d said something to the stewardess but I didn’t need to as I only ever sleep on the left hand side of a bed!!
