Going to Norway on the Bolette tomorrow and they are similar ships, this was a good watch. Thanks!

We sail from Liverpool on the first two legs of the world cruise in January, so this was really helpful. We've sailed with Fred many times in the past but the will be the first on Borealis and the first cruise in four years. It seems like the standards are as high as ever

I thought this was looking all rather familiar especially with the cabins on the promenade deck looking rather like the older lanai cabins of Holland America. A quick bit of research showed me I was right about it being ex HA, in fact the Rotterdam which I sailed on to the Caribbean. Then it was a characterful ship but with HA not geared to or interested in Solo travellers. Fred Olsen's ownership makes me think it would be much more suitable for me, especially as it sometimes goes out of Liverpool. I rather suspect the food would be considerably better also, HA's was abominable and my previous experience of FO was very positive.

Yes that's correct! The food was so good and although I can't speak on my own experiences. I've heard great things about Fred Olsen and Solo passengers!

A lovely ship. I prefer smaller ships.

Totally agree about promenade deck importance, you should try queen Victoria /Elizabeth /mary for promenade decks! Cunards brand new quuen anne has a TERRIBLE promdeck this is a MAJOR mistake. Fred olsen like a mini cunarder

Fred Olsen are nice and traditional like Cunard! Oh I love the promenade decks of QM2 and QE! Sorry to hear with regards to QA!
