Can’t wait to see some more videos of this game Charger ripping up in the mud. That’s what I am really interested in seeing. Show the limitations of this beastly motor.
@@dannyneal9713 we have a video coming soon but didn’t quite get the chance to get the boat in some deep mud due to the water level being super high. I will say tho the amount of mud we did go through, didn’t faze the motor one bit!
@@MarshOps_Waterfowl good stuff! I currently have a prodrive. I love my rig don’t get me wrong but sometimes don’t having that instant reverse and them top end speeds is a major drag. When Freedom Outboards comes out with their big 90+hp and they show to hold up really well in the mud oyster beds and stumps I’ll be there putting in my order for one for sure!! I do a lot of bowfishing in very little water maybe 6” or so when we are hunting down them reds . Thank you for the reply can’t wait to see what you bring to the channel!!
@@chad2670 we are running the mud prop this weekend and we are seeing speeds around 31-33. I think the radiators on the bottom by the skeg slow it down slightly
I live in Louisiana and do alot of duck hunting and I have really been considering this motor over a gator tail I would love if you could post a video or maybe send me a video of the motor in some thicker mud going from dead stop to getting on plain
@@bricefruge3822 we plan on taking it to southeast Louisiana in two weeks for teal opener, if we can find some shallow spots in the mean time we will definitely most more content!
My 1756 mstc with a 5000 efi does 30 with a load. Ran it yesterday morning with 3 dozen decoys, another body and a dog and ran 27 with a wore out prop. I’d like to see speeds of a 1756 with a 60hp. Kind of hoping they come up with a 75 or 90 hp soon.
@@williamreinicke1337 this is the 1756 with the 60hp. With the stainless prop we are seeing 35+, with the mud prop we are seeing 30 with 3 people, gear, and pirogue. Jumps on plane quick even loaded down.
@ I run at altitude. I see 10-15% power loss. See it the most on my bass boat. You guys ever try running it at 3000-6000 feet lakes? If so, what kind of performance loss. Again, I see 30-32 with my 5000 efi mudbuddy. Also I run an insane amount of sand. Unfortunately a prop a year is what I have to deal with. I have one hole, we have to churn about 200 yards of silty sand to get in the river channel. Curious how well this setup does with all these factors. If it weren’t for a couple of my holes being this way, I’d run an outboard all day everyday.
@@williamreinicke1337 we have only ran it in south Mississippi and south Louisiana. We had ran it in the sand not long ago and honestly performed like any outboard would. Sand is tough to run through having a skeg under the prop. The kick plate it comes with helps a lot too with those hard bottoms, it even comes with a protective plate in-front of the skeg.
@ I’d be curious what it could do here and how it would perform next to my setup. I want to love it, but my setup gets me everywhere I need it to. But after 6 years on this 5000 efi, it won’t be long til I’m in the market for a new motor.
@ definitely think this is worth looking into. An all around motor to get you to the sandbar during the summer and to the duck hole during the winter without all the extra maintenance, worrying about the hours. Looking forward to seeing if it last as long as your average outboard. If so, this becomes a no brainer in my opinion especially after seeing what people in the local area go through with their surface drives.
why doesn't somebody show it on anything but I havoc duck boat I'm not interested in duck hunting I need it for saltwater fishing super shallow water backcountry. I'd like to know if they make a 90
@@CaptDavesSportfishing well havoc partnered with freedom outboard to sell as a package. Freedoms are still fairly new so you won’t see many. But it would be perfect for that. We have been running in shallow swamps with soft bottom mud and stumps. Performing very well so far
@@MarshOps_Waterfowl thanks! still has a lower unit and a gear case, taking the abuse. I've run thru lower unit seals, without even running thru mud sand, n the past. I'd consider one, but I'm thinking minimum 18 footer, with a tunnel, no kick-up plate (no stumps where I would go) I'd be interested to know how all that leverage on the transom works out over the years, with a jack plate and kick up, making the motor extend so far out. NO camo for me, either. Been watching Smith motor Co. videos. Thats a 500 long drive from Jax Florida to Hattiesburg. So its hard to window shop!
@@steverodrigue6038 working on getting some good content soon! Unfortunately the water was pretty high during teal season due to the hurricane in SE Louisiana.

i see plenty stock 40hp mud motors push boats this same size boat 29-32 mph. you’d think a 60hp outboard would touch 40mph ?
