  • Morning with (probably) the most successful film maker in Nollywood.
Who are the most successful film makers in Nigeria today?
It will NOT shock any one familiar with NOLLYWOOD that the name of Adekunle Afolayan, will feature prominently. He is an actor, director and producer, son of the late doyen of the Nigerian film industry, Adeyemi Afolayan, aka ‘Ade Love’.
One of Africa’s foremost film makers, legendary cinematographer, Dr. Tunde Kelani, aka TK, describes Kunle Afolayan as one of the most courageous, hardworking, business-oriented and creative geniuses of this generation.
This past decade, particularly, Kunle has been producing outstanding works, epochal films that take story telling and production skills to new heights and dimensions, daring to go where few had gone before him in this part of the world.
Last week, Kunle was in Ghana with an international cast to film what TK, who was on the entourage, describes as a daring and ambitious production, filming at the El-Mina Castle in Sekondi, Ghana, one of the preserved Slave Camps and departure points-of-no-return used during the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade of the 16th to 19th Centuries.
It's a special tribute to a great Ambassador of the creative Arts, as we celebrate yet another anniversary of his birth day.
